Stacking Cups

Stacking cups, only these are not stacked on top of one another, my entry for Photo Hunt spiral.

stacking cups

I was cleaning the closets and preparing the baby toys  my children played with when they were younger when I decided to take photos of the toys, including this set of stacking cups.

These were given to my brother’s young daughter.

Sigh, they don’t need these toys anymore, how time flies.

We Love Books

I have written here that we love to go to Power Books TriNoma.

Reading The Magic Treehouse

While the children are reading in the children’s section, I go over to an adjacent section and look at the recipe books while my eldest daughter browses shelves filled with books she is interested to read.

One time, I overhead a group of teenagers whispering and giggling about looking for books about skin care. One mentioned something that sounded unfamiliar. I searched for it when we got home and found out the name: accutane. Definitely sounds new to me.

Anyway, I would want to get a copy of a certain recipe book when we get back. I’m sure my eldest daughter would again ask me to get that other vampire book for her (rolls eyes).

New Babies and Toddlers in the Family

When we went home to the province last weekend to visit the wake of our granduncle, I was surprised to see a lot of babies and toddlers in the family. So, aside from my brother’s baby girl,  my cousin bore two more girls from when I last saw her second child.

I don’t even want to think about how many nephews and nieces I have on my mother’s side of the family. My mom sent me an sms during Christmas that there are so many kids during their annual Christmas reunion.

I joked that they should send out birth announcements to us so we know the head count of the offspring, LOL.

kids

I made a little compilation of the young addition to the family that I have pictures of. I know there are missing kids here so to that I say, “sorry po, eto lang meron ako” 😀

Happy New Year

2010 is starting great in this household despite losing granduncle before the New Year and me having a sprained ankle. Water connection has improved thanks to the almost non-stop digging which made me stop going to my morning rounds (excuses, excuses). Now we are complaining the water pressure is too strong, lol!

Internet connection is better too. Hubby is now thinking about rearranging the home office furniture here in the library just in case, JUST IN CASE, we are able to afford a new pc or a netbook.

Hmmm…

I may need to work harder then and save more for that day to be here the soonest possible 😀

Jell-o No Bake Strawberry Cheesecake

photohunter

I wrote about  my son helping out in the kitchen in this post.

Presenting the finished product: our Jell-o No Bake Strawberry Cheesecake dessert:

Jell-o No Bake Strawberry Cheesecake

Yes, it was a finger-licking, lip-smacking and two thumbs up dessert. What bliss!

After putting away their textbooks for the homeschooling lessons, the two kids are pretty much free to do whatever they like and sometimes they either go out and play or help out in kitchen/home chores. Cooking and the smells associated with it always draw them in the kitchen to offer a hand or two.

I bask from the compliments they freely give 🙂
