Laptop for the Kids

Our two younger kids joined an online contest last year launched by Del HypoAllergenic Fabric Softener. And they won!

We promised them their own laptop IF they do what is asked of them which was fairly easy: to dance. Dance they did and we won, yipee!

They have been bugging us when we are going to get the promised gadget for them and I know it is gonna be soon since we already got the price money.

Kids these days, they don’t ask for simpler things anymore, they like techie stuff 😀

Last Minute Shopping for School Supplies

Last minute shopping. This is what can be said of the malls and stalls in bargain places (like Divisoria) nowawadays. People are on the hunt for school supplies, uniforms, school shoes and thingamajigs for school opening on Tuesday.

We plan to go look for kitchen appliances but we have to hold it off to avoid the crowds. Who knows what virus or worse, pickpockets are up to during these times. I still want to watch a movie with the kids though, before the school starts, LOL.

Nowadays, even the brother-in-law who works to design furniture does not frequent the malls where he looks for inspiration. I think I should do get the things I need for my grocery list today to avoid Monday’s crowd since Monday is a holiday.

And yeah, now I need to wake up before the rooster crows to cook packed lunch for the children.

Right Foot

Right foot of my son who loves to play outdoors, the other half of his pair of often dirty feet. He loves to walk barefoot in the house.

Running after kids is a good way to exercise even without fitness equipment.

With the way children are plopped in front of a computer or game console, they miss out on a lot of things that playing with friends and/or playing outdoors can give them.

Sunday Afternoon

A lot of things are vertical in this Sunday afternoon photo. I also featured a part of this set here. I don’t take much photos anymore when we come here.

sunday afternoon

This is where we love to have a run (or ok, more of walking for me). This placed used to be a bit deserted during this time a few years ago but since “running” as a sport has taken a new twist, everybody and his uncle are into it. And a lot see themselves as “experts”. Hmmm…

Anyway…

Since running has a lot of positive benefits (yay, shoe stores are happy!) taking this as a sport is not bad. For those who want to lose weight, running and weight loss diet is a good combination to achieve good results. And that is just one of the benefits one can get from running.

So…

1, 2, 3, let’s go! 🙂

Ice Cream

The sweet ice cream just got sweeter with chocolate syrup.

ice cream

Summer = unbearable heat. See how fast the ice cream melted before the children even started scooping their share. The kids even kidded it felt like having a chocolate milk shake than ice cream 😀

Subaru Impreza WRX STI

April is a few days away and this would mean car re-registration, auto insurance quotes and a badly needed fresh coat of paint and body works, among others.

Below is one of the cars that the children have a liking to, Subaru Impreza WRX STI. No, that almost new car with a fresh coat of paint is NOT our car. Wish it is though 😀

subaru_wrx_sti

We have watched Russ Swift drive a Subaru Impreza WRX STI for Precision Driving demo. See the J turns and donuts that this car can do on the pavement.

Awesome power.

Fresh fruits, another entry, here.
