“I love to feel the rain in the summertime!” sings The Alarm.
Is the rainy season officially here?
This summer season is quite unusual because instead hot weather being experienced the whole day through, the country is experiencing thunderstorms and rain showers during the early afternoons till evenings. Sure its nice to have a cooler weather at night though it is still humid despite the cool air.
People are now wondering if they can still spend sunny days at the beach or do fun summer activities.

Egg sandwich has got to be one of my favorite sandwich fillings, whether prepared with a little bit of mayo, pickles and cheese or cooked as scrambled egg where greens and tomatoes are added in the ensemble, yes, I have simple tastes ๐
I love to prepare this as a sandwich filling (more than I love to buy these egg sandwiches already made) because not only is the spread a tummy filler, it is also nutritious.
I used a French Baker raisin bonnet in this sandwich.
Just go to another place away from people if you feel that you can not hold it in for the after-smell is not good, hahaha!

Flowers have natural colors and these are one of the best things to use when teaching and learning about colors.
Here is a violet flower in my other entry for this week’s PURPLE theme in Photo Hunter.
Below is a bunch of lilac flowers that are very small and dainty-looking:
This kind of flower comes in many colors like orange, red and yellow.
Beautiful but if I remember it right, these have an awful smell, ugh!

I know this is a Lasang Pinoy Sundays meme and my title is French Toast ๐ The LaPiS theme for this week is MELTed bliss
This is one of the children’s favorite breakfast and snack fare: French Toast
Nothing fancy, I just mixed sweet milk (condensed) with egg, put a dash of cinnamon powder for the dip (is it called dip?)
Then I put sliced cheese on the lower half of a bread from a loaf, folded it and dipped in the egg mixture
I then cooked this with a little melted butter turning over the bread once one side is cooked and the bread is ready to be served ๐ The melted cheese inside is just plain bliss ๐
The kids have this with cold chocolate milk or just plain milk, yummy!

For this week’s STRIPES theme in Photo Hunt, I have this entry below and another entry about a flower with stripes.
I saw a photo in my archive that looks odd to me. This photo of the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta was taken last year:
I see lots of stripes though there are not many stripes as stripey as they come. Are the ones I am seeing stripes or creases? ๐ What do you think?
Do you see the “stripes” too?

HANDS is the theme for this week’s Photo Hunt and here I wrote here that we have a hand in educating our two younger children.
I thought about featuring this photo of my youngest daughter’s hand holding a wooden toy with five pecking hens which looks like a handmade toy.
I thought the concept of this toy is originally Philippine-related but when I Googled the term, I found out the toy is of Scandinavian origin!
Surprise, surprise!
Below is the toy in a close-up photo:
