French Toast

I know this is a Lasang Pinoy Sundays meme and my title is French Toast πŸ˜‰ The LaPiS theme for this week is MELTed bliss

This is one of the children’s favorite breakfast and snack fare: French Toast

Nothing fancy, I just mixed sweet milk (condensed) with egg, put a dash of cinnamon powder for the dip (is it called dip?)

Then I put sliced cheese on the lower half of a bread from a loaf, folded it and dipped in the egg mixture

I then cooked this with a little melted butter turning over the bread once one side is cooked and the bread is ready to be served πŸ™‚ The melted cheese inside is just plain bliss πŸ™‚

The kids have this with cold chocolate milk or just plain milk, yummy!

french toast is the best! infact, i just had this for breakfast myself. but mine was simpler than what you did :o) – just bread dipped in the mixture of milk and egg with a dash of cinnamon… Never had it with cheese.. must be really good.

I like your version of french toast, teach! My Nanay (maternal grandma) always made french toast for us for merienda. She always used pandesal halves. I miss pandesal! πŸ˜€

I barely recall this as one of the recipes for Alaska french toast when Sharon Cuneta was promoting the product through commercials…I tried it then and loved it (nasa Pinas pa ko nun at dalaga pa). I tried it here once but hubby did not care for the cheese in between πŸ™
