Beauty or Brains?

Like the beauty pageant question that gets asked all the time:  “Would you rather be beautiful or smart?” I think most would rather answer they’d rather be smart than beautiful. Not only is this the logical choice for the shot of winning the title but this is what is expected as the answer.

Of course, when you are smart and you get to earn a lot, you can have your physical beauty enhanced, harharhar. And those unsightly bulges, hair here and there, chest acne and other ewwwness can now be removed without a trace. You know, what used to be there can be removed and what was not there can be enhanced.

For the Record, I’m Not…

I was asked last night if I am pregnant. Ugh. For the record. I am NOT.

It is as if I could hear a chant saying: fat burners! fat burners!

Am I hurt? Of course I am but then again, if I have been more conscious not only about my looks but also about how much I eat (not too much really) and WHAT I eat then I wouldn’t be asked that question.

It doesn’t help that I eat when I am a bit stressed. And watching something. And reading a book. 😀

Google Driverless Car

Google’s driverless car has gotten a lot of attention the world over. I for one would like to see it, with James Bond in my mind, wheee!

Who wouldn’t get excited to see this? Ok, some people are wondering out loud if this car is “legal” enough to drive (Q: who’s driving, it IS driverless) on the road or if it even merit a car insurance quote.

Would flying cars be next like the ones in The Jetsons?

Lost in a Hardware Store

I could get “lost” in a hardware store just as others could get “lost” in a clothes store.

I don’t know why but I enjoy looking at bathroom fixtures, different lamps, gardening thingamajigs, even casters, nuts and bolts, curtains and paints. No, I am not an interior decorator in hiding considering the home needs a lot of basic fixes like floor time (i.e. sweeping, mopping and more sweeping and mopping) and dusting the cabinets here and there.

Speaking of which, hardware store finds, I still haven’t written about my ever-reliable Rubbermaid home cleaning tools like the comfort grip tile and grout brush and duster (which I can’t find in the official site).

Now if only these would start cleaning by themselves… lol.

Sandalias Festival 2010: Step Into Some Love

Sandalias Festival 2010: Step Into Some Love was an awesome flip-flop event held at TriNoma last September 26.

Featuring ELRO Corporation‘s new and stylish designs from Ipanema Gisele Bundchen collection (for the environment-friendly fashionista), Ipanema (for the kikay and fun girl), Rider (for the adventurous hiking and trekking type of gal) and Grendha, for the lady who loves to wear stylish and comfortable footwear.

The 2-day Sandalias Festival 2010 featured great and fun activities that  patrons who purchased Ipanema, Ipanema Gisele Bundchen, Grendha and Rider were able to enjoy:
