Ipanema recently opened a branch called Sandalias in SM Lucena

Ipanema is a fashionable and hip Brazilian flip-flop brand. The store features the latest collection from last year’s Philippine Fashion Week alongside Ipanema Women’s and Men’s Collection, Kids line as well as Gisele Bundchen collection.

It’s nice to find something for the family members in specialty stores like Sandalias, especially with summer just a few months away.

I’m sure husbands and children will enjoy browsing their own flip flops in this store after accompanying mom who shopped for porcelain switch plates.

The “SANDALIAS” store exclusively selling Ipanema flip flops is located at the ground floor of SM City Lucena.

The Ipanema Gisele Bündchen Butterfly Collection is here! The Ipanema Gisele Bündchen Butterfly Collection is the sixth of the Ipanema Gisele Bündchen line designed by the supermodel. She is also the ambassador for United Nations Environment Programme.

The designs of the Ipanema GB Butterfly Collection features femininity with delicate lace-like weave of butterflies complimenting and prettifying the feet.  There is a butterfly embellishment to make the look prettier than it already is.

Butterflies are best known not just as beautiful winged creatures but also creatures from a metamorphosis from an (icky) crawly creature to a magical winged butterfly. I find the collection pretty, especially with the butterfly embellishment. I’ve seen other flip-flop designs, some simple, others ornate with black diamonds and other blings, silk flowers and ribbons. For me, simple and practical is the choice.

Last night we attended the Bloggers’ Event for Ipanema’s Gisele Bundchen (GB) Seeds Collection.

The launching of the GB Seeds Collection is being teamed with Haribon Foundation in an effort to create not just an awareness on the preservation of the Philippine rainforests but as one of the steps to be taken to realize the goals in the preservation of these treasured natural resources.

I had the chance to ask Mr Patxi Elizalde who was very accommodating about the materials they used for this collection and he explained that these are made from recycled materials like residues from different things like PVC, industrial and painting residues.

There will also be a Walk the Green Mile Walkathon slated on March 21 and part of the proceeds of these GB Seeds Collection will help in the planting and growing of trees
