For the Record, I’m Not…

I was asked last night if I am pregnant. Ugh. For the record. I am NOT.

It is as if I could hear a chant saying: fat burners! fat burners!

Am I hurt? Of course I am but then again, if I have been more conscious not only about my looks but also about how much I eat (not too much really) and WHAT I eat then I wouldn’t be asked that question.

It doesn’t help that I eat when I am a bit stressed. And watching something. And reading a book. 😀

Zit, Zit, Go Away

Sometimes I tease my students whenever they have a zit or two on their face.

One time though, I was the one who got teased by a student who said I need adult acne treatments (yes, she insisted I need several, hmph) for a big one on my chin. Ugh! When these pop out, that certain time of the month is definitely a few days away or much nearer.

So much for lecturing about “Do unto others what you would others do unto you” 😀

Black Olives

Vegetable salads are one of my favorite food. Below is a bowl of vegetable salad I prepared: cheese cubes, Romaine lettuce, black olives, cucumber, tomato and carrot slices.

It just occurred to me and I just checked, I already featured this photo in this blog post for my 2010 Project 365 (which is not updated by the way for almost a month!)

Eye Tics

I have been getting eye tics lately. I don’t know if it’s because I have been overworking with the writing tasks I need to finish. These tasks do not just require writing because I need to watch something too for the topics I write about.

I used to think about getting under eye cream for dark circles but that seemed trivial compared to the eye tics I have been experiencing.

I think I need to boost the immune system more by taking in vitamin B complex. I also need to organize my time better so that I give ample time to what I need to accomplish and still have time to rest.

I Am Not Ready for Summer

I heard giggling girls at the mall today talking about crash diets that work.

Just exactly what I need to remind me that summer is HERE and I haven’t done a thing to at least minimize, ok then burn, these unsightly mid-body bulges. Ugh.

Eat plenty of raw leafy vegetables? Check.

Use of olive oil in cooking? Check.

More healthy eating? Check.

More fruits in the diet? Check.

Staying on schedule re morning rounds? Check. For not doing these religiously in reality but mental running definitely a yes. Booo!!!

No soda or sugared drinks? Check for yes 🙁

Definitely not ready for summer yet.

Oh well, I may not be able to wear clothes that are the current fad, my only wish is that I be healthy and free from any illnesses.

Bitter, hahaha.

Come to think of it, without no one to mind the house, we can’t even go on a vacation, not even spend oversight at my parents’ home. It has been years ago since we had a real vacation away from home.

Staycation is not really a case to be sad about, we love to stay at home and chill but being in an entirely different place and exploring new surroundings can do a lot for bored children.

What’s Inside Your Bag?

Do you have that urge to look through the bag of a friend and see what’s inside? Just to satisfy your curiosity among others. Perhaps you might want to discover the beauty secret why your friend’s skin is flawless only to find out that she is just using proactiv. 😀

I remember doing a “what’s inside your bag  photo meme” before and I admit, it was fun looking at what other have inside their bags.

Some of the things I featured in that bag meme are still there while there have been some changes. What remained constant is the bag’s weight.

I know heavy bags should be a no-no because there are a lot of not-so-good results when these are constantly carried.  Back pains and pains on the shoulders (which sometimes cause blisters and other skin conditions) are just two of the ill-effects of carrying a heavy bag.

What can you do to prevent these conditions?

  • Minimize what you have in your bag to avoid experiencing painful condition.
  • Plan your day so that you do not need to bring everything at once.
  • Distribute the weight although this would mean having more than one bag.
