For this week’s STRIPES theme in Photo Hunt, I have this entry below and another entry about a flower with stripes.
I saw a photo in my archive that looks odd to me. This photo of the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta was taken last year:
I see lots of stripes though there are not many stripes as stripey as they come. Are the ones I am seeing stripes or creases? π What do you think?
Do you see the “stripes” too?

Fine dining is something we don’t usually do, especially if we are the ones who will foot the bill. Yes, its that expensive on this side of the planet. Truth is, I would rather try (very hard) cooking food fit for fine-dining and serve these at home π
That is how a miser I am we are (oops, nabuking).
Anyway, here is a photo of a fine dining restaurant’s table, sans the china and silverware:
‘Hence, I am leaving it all up to you to help me come up with a more accurate description.” You wrote this and to that I answer:
fine dining means eating less while paying more π
So how do we eat these wee things?

Yellow is a wonderful color. It is bright, warm and lively. Yellow is the theme for this week’s Photo Hunt.
Summer is definitely here on this side of the planet. Everyone is saying “it IS hot” and yes, it is very hot and humid.
I definitely miss the “cold” spell we experienced for a few weeks during December till February. Sure a lot of people got sick because of that and taking a bath in the morning (Filipinos take baths everyday, some even twice or thrice a day when the weather is extremely hot) is a real challenge especially to those without a water heater like us.
Yellow leaf, a sign that the weather will turn cold because some trees shed their leaves. Our own version of “autumn”.
I definitely miss the cool weather. I don’t mind if the days look sad because of overcast skies.
I am sure a lot of you out there are welcoming spring with open arms (except maybe those with allergies) so you can take a lot of flower photos π Have fun!

We always have fresh tomatoes at home. Tomatoes are wonderful fruits and there are many ways to use these for the different food that we like to have.
These may be omelet, pasta, ginisang ulam, eaten as side dish or as sandwich filling.
So why did I put these tomatoes instead of a photo of our (a bit cramped) kitchen? Because these are always on the kitchen counter several times a week for our food preparation π
In fact we just had an omelet a while ago for breakfast and you can probably guess what is in it π

Wide open spaces are scarce in a megapolitan like ours called Megapolitan (or Mega) Manila where traffic is ordinary especially during weekdays which is what my other entry is all about.
I am thankful then that we are just a mere 10-15 minutes away from the wide open spaces of a campus where IΒ spent some years for my graduate studies and where people including us, can go to during weekends for physical exercises like biking, walking, running, jogging and other sport activities. We also go there at times for a picnic lunch.
We love these kinds of weekend activities where we can have fun in wide open spaces π
What about you?

Everyone is saying how hot and humid the weather has gotten this days and to think that its just the fifth day of March! Ugh! I dread to think what late March and April and May weather will bring, another ugh!
It would be nice to have a vacation at the beach, sipping a fruit shake while lulling myself to oblivion on a hammock under tall trees where the cool sea breeze cools me, wow! π
