Glamour Girls Alexa’s Flower

My MIL gave this to my eldest daughter for her to be able to arrange her stuff and avoid having these just lying on her table.

Glamour Girls Alexa’s Flower

Glamour Girls Alexa’s Flower.

This is made of wires that were twisted to form a flower. On the wires, hair clips, photos, pins and other knick-knacks can be put either as storage or for decoration.

I expected my daughter to get excited with this one and use it right away with her mess stuff. The wire frame has been untouched since it was given last September. I may need to be more assertive with this, I think.

Grilled Stuffed Squid

Grilled Stuffed Squid

I haven’t tried doing this at home. I have tried grilling squid, yes, but not stuffed.

This seemed difficult to do, with the cleaning of the squid and thinking about the stuff to out inside. Of course, there is the trusted Google that will spit out probably hundreds of ways that this can be done, and yeah, there 46,700 posts about “grilled stuffed squid”.

My student GG loves havng this grilled stuffed squid. To think that he is a picky eater mean that this food is really special to him. This may not look too appetizing to some but to me, this is tops.

Naku sa totoo lang, masarap ito kainin ng naka-kamay at me kasamang hilaw na mangga at bagoong. Wagi!

Ruin(ed) in Intramuros, the Walled City

Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday is RUIN(ED).

The first thing that came to mind was the photos we took when we all trooped to historical sites as a part of our home schooling lessons for History. I have posted entries here, here and here.

Photos of the entrance to Intramuros are in my other blog post about Ruin(ed).

My entry for ruin(ed) is this:

Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, Intramuros, Manila

The sign at the gate of the church says:

Basil Benefits

We had a basil plant.

Yes, had because the plant died courtesy of those small white insects that seemed to feed on the fragrant plant. Coupled with that, ants infested on these small white creatures. I wasn’t able to take photos of these creatures but Googling them I was able to land to this page. Click here.

I knew I should have made pesto when the leaves were plentiful. This would have to wait until I get another plant or resolve to buy fresh leaves from the supermarket. I know I should have read pages like this one before I got the plant but that is water under the bridge now. Sigh.
