Running

I have been walking (with a little running in between) last month for a few days a week but this has stopped when we were ravaged by a super storm. I don’t know, I was somehow afraid to walk the streets where the flood waters flowed along šŸ™

I lost some weight while I was doing my morning rounds, I must say. On days I don’t go out, I try to do (an imitation) of sun salutation movements. Both when combined contributed to the little shrinking of ze waistline. That is until I stopped the routine.

And now I am back to the waistline that needs some trimming.

Ahhmm, I am tempted to do quick weight loss but I know I need more than that.

Why? I am looking at a goal, even if it the shortest distance. Oh well, it may be a possibility and I will not just keep my fingers crossed, I will get up and go out and start reaching for that goal, one step at a time.

Daiso Store

After watching a movie the other night, hubby and I decided to enter a Japan bargain store and browse the items they are selling. Everything was being sold at a uniform price.

There were so many things being sold there, from bathroom thingamajigs, to school supplies, beauty tools, safety products, kitchen stuff, to knick-knacks.

We got several items. A small lock for eldest daughter’s locker, a bucket, a round thing that will make eggs look perfectly round, and other stuff.

Well, you gotta give credit to the store they sure know how to sell. We paid a lot more than have we brought out the calculators and added the amount of what we were getting.

No regrets, we are happy with the loot.

Would you dare cross that hanging bridge? No, there are no crocodiles lying in wait just in case you fall down but then, that would double the fun, wouldn’t it? (Photo taken by my 13yo daughter)

9.Ā  A Shadow

Wouldn’t you know, it is almost high noon but because of the shadows cast by the trees, this road is quite shady and still cool for a walk.

Bottomless Iced Tea

Bottomless iced tea. Our children love to drink this beverage, bottomless or not.

One of the more popular “resto-rant” would be about iced tea not getting filled fast enough especially when there are a lot of customers.

We have encountered those too but more often, we don’t. So what’s the secret?

Sit near where the pitchers are kept šŸ˜‰

One more thing, we ask if it is ok for two young children to share the bottomless iced tea. They usually say yes.Ā  If only they know these two children drink more than I can drink, so “shhhhh…” šŸ˜‰
