Green Iced Sting Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

A box with Green Iced Sting Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (and Original Glazed Doughnuts) was delivered last week. A big thanks to Krispy Kreme! Yey!

Green Iced Sting Krispy Kreme

The kids were delighted with the green color with hint of bubble gum flavor and mint (white stripes) flavor inspired by the movie  “The Green Hornet” Definitely something new and kid-approved. My kids love it!

The Green Iced Sting Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are only available till February 13, 2010.

Magnolia Ice Cream Christmas Limited Edition

THE Magnolia Ice Cream we all love is offering Christmas limited edition ice cream flavors we would surely fall in love again.

I remember years ago that I get excited whenever we would go buy the monthly special called “Flavors of the Month”. And yes, I distinctly remember too that big ice cream cart with a bell that sounds like “come here” to my young ears. Mama would let me choose what I’d like and always, my choice would be twin popsies (popsicles).

Anyway… Magnolia Ice Cream without the Nestle name attached to it is back.

And back they are with new flavors and these include the limited edition Christmas ice cream namely Vanilla Praline, Caramel Cheesecake, and Apple Strudel. These three new flavors were introduced to a select group of mommy bloggers.

Magnolia Ice Cream Limited Edition Vanilla Praline

Vanilla Praline has cashew praline with streaks of caramel vanilla in vanilla ice cream base. If you love vanilla ice cream, Magnolia has the best vanilla ice cream.

Magnolia Ice Cream Limited Edition Caramel Cheesecake

Caramel Cheesecake has cheesecake bits and caramel ripple in a caramel ice cream base. I super love caramel ice cream flavors (and candy too!).

Magnolia Apple Strudel Ice Cream

The Apple Strudel has apple cinnamon bits with crushed chocolate pretzels swirled with a combination of green and red ripple and enhanced with creamy vanilla flavor.

These Magnolia ice cream limited edition are available till February 2011. The containers, with in-mould labelling has a tub wrap design won by a student for the theme “Daang Matuwid“. And for the frugal and practical mom, these tubs can be used in more ways than one.

Ho-Ho-Holiday with Krispy Kreme

We love Krispy Kreme!

Though the original glazed doughnut is STILL the favorite, we love to have those fancy seasonal doughnuts.

Krispy Kreme

With Christmas just a few weeks from now, we are excited to have Krispy Kreme snowman back on our plates and palate. But wait there’s more! Two special Krispy Kreme doughnuts are now available to share with family and friends: vanilla-frosted square-shaped doughnuts decked with green and red icing ribbons and classic Krispy Kreme ring doughnuts topped with red and green candy sprinkles.

Of course, Snowman is making a comeback and I’m sure many missed him 🙂

Moringa Nutrients

Yes, the “lowly” green vegetable called “Moringa” or Malunggay in Philippine vernacular is one of the most nutritious vegetable there is.

Not only does moringa increase breast milk production, it is also a rich source of nutrients.

Moringa can also be used as a detoxifying agent as well as extender to many dishes.

I’ve read that people in Africa has been planting moringa trees to include in the diet to counter malnutrition. And yes, we’d be having more of moringa in our viands 🙂

Cajun Chicken Pasta

When I cook pasta, I don’t have exact recipes that I follow. Whatever we have in the fridge is what I use, as long as these would give delight the fickle taste buds of my children.

Here is my simple version of chicken alfredo pasta Cajun Chicken Pasta

pasta

Ingredients:

tomatoes

red and green bell pepper

sliced olives (optional, I added these because we have extra from another dish that I cooked)

bite-sized chicken (from chicken breasts)

all-purpose cream and cheese for the sauce

Italian herb seasoning for flavors instead of Cajun

spaghetti noodles cooked according to instructions

I topped mine with fresh parsley bits.

McDonald’s Twister Fries

McDonald’s Twister Fries is back.

Woohoo!

McDonald's Twister Fries

The kids love this, of course especially since McDonald’s Twister Fries are not offered in the usual menu.
