My two younger kids and I are joining 2011 Mommy Milkshake, yey! Lookit! We’re in the first photo! We joined last year’s 2010 Mommy Milkshake Run.
We already got a confirmation email on how we can register.
Mommy Milkshake is a yearly run/walk/crawl/hop/skip event where pregnant, breastfeeding, and beautiful moms (this is where I belong since I’m neither pregnant nor breastfeeding, haha!) and their children (and husbands too) join to have fun.
Pregnant moms however, need to wear the official shirt for the run and not their cutesy maternity clothes. All participants have pink singlets and race bibs.
We’re excited already to join 2011 Mommy Milkshake.

Exercise and diet is a long, slow and sure way to be fit and healthy. Not just any diet, this diet should consist healthy food. I know this for a fact because I have a living example of what this vava-voom combination can do, right friend?
Other may resort to using the best weight loss pills to help make the process of slimming down faster. There are those who’d take other means like dancing, walking, running, or hula-hooping as a fitness routine rather than go to a gym and face machines. And toned down trainers.
I used to be enrolled in Zumba classes during summer. When classes started I found that I didn’t have the time to go back. Still working on my sked but I know in time I will be back. Group dancing is more fun than me dancing alone (like no one is watching) at home because in a group, you’d get embarrassed to sit and rest since everyone’s still dancing. At home when I try to dance, I’d end up sitting and taking a break on every other song in the play list. Duh.
I think I’d be devising a plan for this diet and exercise combination especially now that I will be turning a year older this week.
Reality check.

14,087,000 is the number of unemployed Americans.
I wonder how many we have in the Philippines.
Going home, I always see people just sitting on the sidewalks: talking, more often than not, they are having a drinking session. They even have time to sing videoke songs. And yes, these young men, teenagers, all they do the whole day is walk to and fro, going nowhere.
I see them every single day where we live. And if I don’t look out the window, I can hear them. Yep, that bad.
I’d like to believe it’s just my perception that I don’t like them but then, when I sometimes ride a cab, the drivers tell me the people we see on the way to where we live kinda look scary. Eeeep!
I wonder where they get their money to buy the basic things they need on a day to day basis. Perhaps I don’t want to know.
Hello RH Bill?
“Unemployment in the U.S. rises”, says an online news headline.
So true to almost a thousand Filipino teachers who are now out of job. I could have been one of them because I was interviewed by the recruitment officer for a teaching position in that certain county.
If I got in I would have paid almost a million pesos. Yes, I’d be swimming in debt even before I set foot in the great big US of A. I know it’s probably like having a lot of payday advance loans except they haven’t received their salary yet but they’re already paying for the fees.
Just like the other teachers who have been duped by a fellow Filipino recruiter, these teachers paid a whole lot just to be able to teach over seas. The authorities should also look into the agency that got them their jobs because it is to the agency that they paid thousands of dollars as “processing fees”.

I know gushing about having a PR is sooo like a noob blogger *insert rolls eyes emoticon here*
My food blog recently got PR’ed, if there’s such a word. This happening came as a surprise and inspired me to cook more, never mind if a glowing neon “buyphenphedrine.com” sign is making it’s way to me. LOL.
Right now, the boiled potatoes (with grated cheese and butter) are sitting in the blue silicon baking pan, inside the fridge waiting for 4:30am. I’m gonna bake this for a bit for the kids’ breakfast.
The spring rolls are also waiting for their turn to get fried in the morning.
The cooked rice is in the fridge too, to be cooked as fried rice.
And best of all, the coconut jam warmed with butter and “cooked” with scrambled egg is cooling down. This will be for tomorrow morning’s toast.
Now, on to budget management… 😀
