Been looking at some of the food photos I have in my blogs and in my files and I was really amazed at how these food, no matter how delicious these may be, can contribute to clogging of the arteries, weight gain and a list of illnesses.
While watching an episode of “The Mentalist” last night, Patrick Jane was talking to a chef about butter in the food and the chef said: “Its the great thing about food, its indulgence and necessity at the same time.”
Yes, its true but how should far people give in to the indulgence?
I love food but of course, I also have to take into consideration the kind of food that I put in me. After all, we really should eat to live and not the other way around.

“I love to feel the rain in the summertime!” sings The Alarm.
Is the rainy season officially here?
This summer season is quite unusual because instead hot weather being experienced the whole day through, the country is experiencing thunderstorms and rain showers during the early afternoons till evenings. Sure its nice to have a cooler weather at night though it is still humid despite the cool air.
People are now wondering if they can still spend sunny days at the beach or do fun summer activities.

Flowers have natural colors and these are one of the best things to use when teaching and learning about colors.
Here is a violet flower in my other entry for this week’s PURPLE theme in Photo Hunter.
Below is a bunch of lilac flowers that are very small and dainty-looking:
This kind of flower comes in many colors like orange, red and yellow.
Beautiful but if I remember it right, these have an awful smell, ugh!

HANDS is the theme for this week’s Photo Hunt and here I wrote here that we have a hand in educating our two younger children.
I thought about featuring this photo of my youngest daughter’s hand holding a wooden toy with five pecking hens which looks like a handmade toy.
I thought the concept of this toy is originally Philippine-related but when I Googled the term, I found out the toy is of Scandinavian origin!
Surprise, surprise!
Below is the toy in a close-up photo:

It is summer in this part of the world.
Summer means the children are not in school so parents should think of ways to keep the children entertained, occupied and challenged.
One of the games children can play with is the Twister Game. Below is a Twister game being played with my son as one of the players.
This game not only tests their ability to listen and follow instructions but it also tests their flexibility and resistance. It also is a good way to let them think creatively on how they would make themselves more comfortable without breaking their hold on the colored circles 🙂

I love watching Big Bang Theory 🙂
I can totally relate to the characters especially Sheldon because I have met and worked with a lot of (future) Sheldons at work 😉

Of course, it may seem funny to those who are not initiated with how it is to live with these people who have issues with pragmatics and semantics
But then, I am glad that there are shows like these to enlighten people, and not ridicule and make fun of the fact that there are other people who are like Sheldon who needs understanding and patience from other people
