Pumpkin and Sausage Pasta

Chef Golda Liamzon of the Dona Elena Cuisinera Club whipped up another yummy and nutritious food just perfect to serve for Halloween parties because the end result has yellow-y sauce: Squash Pumpkin and Sausage Pasta. FYI, Squash was used instead of pumpkin.

Dona Elena Sausage Pasta

Squash is rich in carotene and the richer the color, the more concentration there is in the nutrients. Squash is also a good source of folic acid, fiber, vitamins B1 and C.

I Want to Burn Fat and Win an iPad

I bought several bottles of a fruit drink that has propionyl l-carnitine not because I want to burn fats but because the scratch-off-and-get-the-code part might make me win an iPad 😀

Fit 'n Right

This is a favorite drink in the house and I rarely buy the small bottles because I get the big one liter bottles.

Yes, it will burn fat with regular exercise and proper diet. Can it be possible to not include the last two parts? 😀

Rip, Pour and Shake with Tang Pick & Go

There was a lot of excitement and curiosity over “Help Xyriel Find Her Missing Lunch Box” billboard ads and flyers.   Xyriel Manabat‘s Mission: Lunchbox was launch simultaneously in three key cities.

Missing Lunchbox

Kids from all over Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao helped Agua Bendita and Momay child star Xyriel Manabat find her lost lunchbox.

Tang Pick & Go

They played games, designed their own lunchboxes and won exciting prizes.

Opening of the Missing LunchBox

When that most-wanted (and lost) lunchbox was finally opened and Xyriel Manabat came out of it, everyone discovered the surprise: Tang Pick & Go juice drink concentrate, perfect for a refreshing drink anytime, anywhere.

Tang Pick & Go

Tang Pick & Go sachets are available in three variants: pineapple, orange and mangga. These Tang Pick & Go sachets are convenient enough to prepare a juice drink wherever one is, just RIP, POUR and SHAKE contents in a 330-ml water bottle.

TANG PICK&GO

Tang Pick & Go sachets are available at your nearby sari-sari store and groceries and supermarkets at SRP PhP3.00.

Jell-O No Bake Cherry Cheesecake

So I make cheesecake at home. From a ready-made box that we love: Jell-O No Bake cherry cheesecake. I made a strawberry cheesecake here  😀

Cherry

My children love it and a cheesecake doesn’t last long. When I did this last week, I was doing some online research about construction and didn’t noticed the kids were “devouring” the cheesecake. They left a wee slice for me though.

I got these boxes from a duty-free store and they want me to look for boxes in nearby supermarkets. I already did and these stores don’t have these products. Where I got it from was more than a hundred kilometers away from home, argh.

I may have to learn how to make a “real” cheesecake the hard way. I hope I am up to it 😉

He Likes Home-Baked Goodies More

The birthday is up and coming for my son and mine at the same day. Our only son requested that I bake some goodies to bring to school for his classmates. He wouldn’t hear of store bought goodies since he said he wanted his classmates to taste what I bake at home. I feel giddy of course that the son feels like that even at my lack of baking prowess.

I have been steering clear away from the tempting oh-so-good baked goodies for personal consumption but I can help get a small piece, and another and another especially when these are still warm.

I feel ze waist expanding and something tells me that I might be hearing whispers of get strongest fat burners soon.

So off to the kitchen to start the mixing and baking.

Last Minute Shopping for School Supplies

Last minute shopping. This is what can be said of the malls and stalls in bargain places (like Divisoria) nowawadays. People are on the hunt for school supplies, uniforms, school shoes and thingamajigs for school opening on Tuesday.

We plan to go look for kitchen appliances but we have to hold it off to avoid the crowds. Who knows what virus or worse, pickpockets are up to during these times. I still want to watch a movie with the kids though, before the school starts, LOL.

Nowadays, even the brother-in-law who works to design furniture does not frequent the malls where he looks for inspiration. I think I should do get the things I need for my grocery list today to avoid Monday’s crowd since Monday is a holiday.

And yeah, now I need to wake up before the rooster crows to cook packed lunch for the children.
