Big Bang Theory

I love watching Big Bang Theory 🙂

I can totally relate to the characters especially Sheldon because I have met and worked with a lot of (future) Sheldons at work 😉

Of course, it may seem funny to those who are not initiated with how it is to live with these people who have issues with pragmatics and semantics

But then, I am glad that there are shows like these to enlighten people, and not ridicule and make fun of the fact that there are other people who are like Sheldon who needs understanding and patience from other people

Fresh Tomatoes

We always have fresh tomatoes at home. Tomatoes are wonderful fruits and there are many ways to use these for the different food that we like to have.

These may be omelet, pasta, ginisang ulam, eaten as side dish or as sandwich filling.

So why did I put these tomatoes instead of a photo of our (a bit cramped) kitchen? Because these are always on the kitchen counter several times a week for our food preparation 🙂

In fact we just had an omelet a while ago for breakfast and you can probably guess what is in it 😀

Homeowner Woes

Parents and homeowners as well worry about their home security and I am probably one of those who do especially when we need to go somewhere and we go home late at night. Yes, I worry about these kind of people and I do not mean to discriminate  them just because.

A few weeks ago, my hubby and I were discussing about how to beef up the home security especially during holidays like the coming Holy Week when illegal home entries (read: akyat bahay) are rampant.

We plan to get a wireless security system. We also have plans to get a house help who can stay at home while we are out but that is a little debatable right now.

I really wish we don’t have these problems where we are.

We just want to live in peace.

Banana, Oats and Chocolate Chips

Plantain bananas, oats and chocolate chips are what can be found inside this bread that I make at home. Sometimes using the same recipe, I also make these as muffins.

Yes, I know, putting chocolate chips, even if its the semi-sweet kind is not really a good idea for me who  really needs diet pills, wait make that, needs to lose weight but the aroma of chocolate and banana in bread is wonderful for me!

I always make four batches of mini-loaves of this kind and always, always, it is a hit with the hubby and the kids who love to have the bread still warm. If I bake it in the morning before it turns dark, everything is gone.

Served best with coffee or milk 🙂

Wide Open Spaces

Wide open spaces are scarce in a megapolitan like ours called Megapolitan (or Mega) Manila where traffic is ordinary especially during weekdays which is what my other entry is all about.

I am thankful then that we are just a mere 10-15 minutes away from the wide open spaces of a campus where I  spent some years for my graduate studies and where people including us, can go to during weekends for physical exercises like biking, walking, running, jogging and other sport activities. We also go there at times for a picnic lunch.

We love these kinds of weekend activities where we can have fun in wide open spaces 🙂

What about you?
