My eldest daughter’s project last year was to make a bag from a pair of denim pants.
Here is a part of her project with some dainty beads:
I featured a different bead in this photo for another photomeme.
My other entry for bag.

For this Saturday’s Photo Hunter theme twisted, I present to you, the magician’s assistant with her twisted body. Well, it is more like body cut in half 🙁
Fear not, it IS a magic trick we saw from this party. Woot, woot!

The theme for this Saturday is NAUTICAL.
We have several photos taken from passenger ships but I am too lazy to look for them in the files. Nautical commuting is a big thing in this island of 7,107 islands called the Philippines. Yes, we are surrounded by water.
Here is my other entry.
I chose the photo below as my entry because model scales are wonderful and very detailed. So now I present a scale model of the USS Nmitz CVN-68.
Scale model of USS Nimitz CVN-68
This photo was taken late last year from an exhibit about scale models ranging from toy soldiers to cars and locomotives, as well as war planes and war ships. It was a bit difficult to take photos through a glass but I managed a bit. That is until the kids started to get bored 😀

Every Saturday participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday is TOGETHER.
There are so many wonderful things that go well together: peanut butter and jelly, black and white, moon and stars, day and night, a couple, and paper and pencil are just very few possibilities.
There are endless possibilities of yummy things that go together too, like a few of the pairs I have in my other entry.
My entry is a bit unusual if it is unusual to some of you.
Here in the Philippines, rains, heavy and not-so-heavy, mean traffic jam. No kidding.
The reason? Roads, even major highways are poorly maintained that when rains pour, flood water rises and vehicles get stuck on the road. It gets ugly and sometimes, road rage or accidents happen. Sigh.

Don’t get me wrong, Pork Humba or Braised Pork Belly or Pork Stew is VERY tasty. We used to have this cooked twice or thrice a month when we weren’t into healthy food years ago. I don’t use the pork belly then, thank you very much, because of its fat but I use pork loin instead. There are many varieties to this dish but I prefer cooking this with lots of garlic, mushroom, and hard boiled eggs
It is a slow cooking recipe and you can view how it is cooked here.
Below is a photo of what constitute a pork humba using pork belly or in Filipino term, liempo:
I am not so sure how much fat content there is for every slice of this meat. But from these come bacon slices which are cured before they make their way to the supermarket.
So what is SCARY about this? The fat content of course! 😀
Here is my other entry for the scary theme.
