Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday is REFLECTION.
This is my other entry.
I decided to post a photo of these ducks standing on a piece of a Styrofoam board that I saw floating on the moat at the entrance of Fort Santiago which I earlier featured here.
They are cute, aren’t they?
I am not sure though what kind of ducks these are. Ducks are not that common here in the Philippines, especially in the urban areas. I remember one of my grandmothers had a small pond where white ducks and some geese would swim when the weather is hot. I wouldn’t go near these though because the geese would always run after me.

Grilled Stuffed Squid
I haven’t tried doing this at home. I have tried grilling squid, yes, but not stuffed.
This seemed difficult to do, with the cleaning of the squid and thinking about the stuff to out inside. Of course, there is the trusted Google that will spit out probably hundreds of ways that this can be done, and yeah, there 46,700 posts about “grilled stuffed squid”.
My student GG loves havng this grilled stuffed squid. To think that he is a picky eater mean that this food is really special to him. This may not look too appetizing to some but to me, this is tops.
Naku sa totoo lang, masarap ito kainin ng naka-kamay at me kasamang hilaw na mangga at bagoong. Wagi!

Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday is RUIN(ED).
The first thing that came to mind was the photos we took when we all trooped to historical sites as a part of our home schooling lessons for History. I have posted entries here, here and here.
Photos of the entrance to Intramuros are in my other blog post about Ruin(ed).
My entry for ruin(ed) is this:

Sungka is an old Filipino game. This is also a popular game in other Asian countries.
The game has an elongated wooden board with seven pockets on either sides. Each pocket has seven shells in it.
At both ends of the wooden board are bigger pockets, called stores. One store is for each player, usually the one found on the left hand.
At the start of the game, both players will simultaneously choose to get a bunch of shells from any of the pockets on his side of the board. Each player will then store a shell on all the pockets moving clockwise. Each player will put one shell in his own store but not in his opponent’s store.
If the last seed is put in an empty pocket, then that player stops playing. If not, then that player keeps on playing, getting shells from the pocket where his last shell has fallen in and putting these in the holes and in his store.
There are still other rules regarding this game which is also called Congklak, click here.

Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday is BLUE.
Nature has so many colors to offer and BLUE is a prominent color, except of course on rainy days. It is considered as a “cool” color because one is reminded about water, whether its the sea, the ocean or water in a pool.
Here is another photo of the place and below is my Blue in Nature photo of a part of the South China here in the Philippines:
