Shell Lamps

photohunter

December 3, 2009 pale Full Moon before Yule entry here.

Curved shell lamps silhouettes during dusk, hanging on a rooftop garden. Perfect way to put accent and give glow during special occasions.

Shell Lamps Silhouettes

One shell lamp looks like this during day time.

Digital Scrapbooking

photohunter

Outdoor fun is my other entry.

Scrapbooking is fun, if not perceived as a challenge to one’s creativity for creating cool photos more interesting. It is expensive too, for not only one needs to buy different papers but varied embellishments too. Yes, and there is this thing about storage.

Good thing there is digital scrapbooking.

Sure, one buys stuff too but there are sites that offer free digital scrapbook “services” like Scrapblog.com (an online digiscrap site, where I made the page below) and Shabby Princess, a site where one can download free kits.

This is a bigger photo of that bright sunshiny sunflower.

Now, one can make pretty digiscrap pages easily. Hurry and visit the sites and make wonderful digiscrap pages! 🙂

Happy Photo Hunting!

Sunflower Days

photohunter

My other entry, almost sunset photo is here.

Lovely sunflower eh? I wish to see lots and lots of these. Why?

With so much destruction and devastation brought about by the two typhoons that ravaged the country recently, it is easy to just pretend that everything was just a bad dream but its not.

I long for sun-kissed days, even parched lips and prickly heat, days at the beach, sunflowers and colorful sunsets.

A little rain every now and then to quench the thirst of the earth and to bring a refreshing feeling would also be perfect.

I can dream, can I?

“Lord, we don’t need this one now to add more suffering and to sow more panic and fear to what we have been through.”

Look Down Sometimes

“God finds a low branch for the bird that cannot fly.” Turkish proverb

wild flower

Sometimes we do not have to look far and wide to see beauty. Beauty is all around us if we only knew how to look for it.

Here is another entry from me.

Lilac Flowers

Flowers have natural colors and these are one of the best things to use when teaching and learning about colors.

Here is a violet flower in my other entry for this week’s PURPLE theme in Photo Hunter.

Below is a bunch of lilac flowers that are very small and dainty-looking:

This kind of flower comes in many colors like orange, red and yellow.

Beautiful but if I remember it right, these have an awful smell, ugh!

Yellow Leaf

Yellow is a wonderful color. It is bright, warm and lively. Yellow is the theme for this week’s Photo Hunt.

Summer is definitely here on this side of the planet. Everyone is saying “it IS hot” and yes, it is very hot and humid.

I definitely miss the “cold” spell we experienced for a few weeks during December till February. Sure a lot of people got sick because of that and taking a bath in the morning (Filipinos take baths everyday, some even twice or thrice a day when the weather is extremely hot) is a real challenge especially to those without a water heater like us.

Yellow leaf, a sign that the weather will turn cold because some trees shed their leaves. Our own version of “autumn”.

I definitely miss the cool weather. I don’t mind if the days look sad because of overcast skies.

I am sure a lot of you out there are welcoming spring with open arms (except maybe those with allergies) so you can take a lot of flower photos 🙂 Have fun!
