Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

Eye-candy is the theme for Lasang Pinoy Sundays which became Lasang Pinoy Tuesday for me due to phone line problems. Hello PLDT, it has been 5 days already!

Anyway, during the past few weeks of the Christmas season, the influx of eye-candy food is varied and oh-so-tempting that anyone with sweet tooth would not resist getting a bite, or two, or maybe even more than that.

A dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts, colourful, sweet, flavourful and yes, tempting. It may not be a Filipino sweet treat but it captured the Filipino palate

Who would care for a piece of two of that colorful candy sprinkled one or the cookies and cream? What about the snowman over here?

I do!

And now I need to go get some weight loss supplements ๐Ÿ˜€

Chipped Wooden Bench

Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday is CHIPPED.

Things that chip easily are those made of glass, ceramic and wood. In my other entry, I featured a chipped (old) historical wall.

Below are two photos of a wooden bench. The first one shows a chipped portion on the arm rest. The second one shows how big and how long the wooden bench is.

Chipped arm rest. of course, its wood and it can be chipped easily but then again, if you see how the bench looks like, chipping is not easy to happen.

This is how long and how heavy (I don’t know how heavy exactly but it looks very heavy indeed) the whole bench looks like:

This is one of the many wooden benches in a place called Tiendesitas where Filipino goods can be bought. We love going to this place because the children get to see a lot of pets being groomed and dressed up. Weekends also mean dog shows ๐Ÿ™‚

Tsokolate-e

Tsokolate-e is one of the best beverages to have during the months when the cool Northern winds are working its chill to our bones.

These found its way on our breakfast menu one cool morning after Christmas.

Have you tried this with suman and ripe mangoes?

If you haven’t, well, do try it as soon as possible ๐Ÿ™‚

If you have, well, what do you think?

The suman (PhP 12/5 pieces) and mangoes (Php60.00/kilo) were bought from the nearby wet market while the tablea was given by MIL and bought in Bohol. Get this in a resto and you will pay a lot more than the kilo of mango for a few slices of the suman and mango cubes ๐Ÿ™‚

Missing Snowman Hat

Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday is HAT(S).

I went differently though, I went HAT LESS in this entry whereas I have different hats in my other PH post ๐Ÿ™‚

Our Krispy Kreme Snowman has no hat!

Should he had any or this is just ok?

Rains

Rain days can be lovely, isn’t it? These rains make the flowers bloom, the air cool and the surroundings greener and fresher, and smog (which is my other PH entry) is somehow a thing of the past.

This is what we get when it rains everyday:

We have knee-high grass during the rainy months from June-August.

When the typhoons come however, too much rain result in not so good situations like flooding, flash floods, rising water of rivers and things that are not so nice.

The knee-high grass is a mere inconvenience, if I may say so, compared to what others go through.

Red Wooden Christmas Tree

Last week of the Filipino Mom Blog‘s Fab Holiday Finds and the theme is RED and/or GREEN.

One of the gifts I got from my students was this red wooden Christmas tree which I already featured as a part of our Advent Wreath.

This mini tree has “gold” trimmings and red accents on proper places that lights are reflected on the glitters.

In the background is the big Advent Wreath which I got from NBS for less than PhP100.00 because the tag says “less 20% off”.

I am still updating my other blog for another red and green entry.

Here is my post about the Handmade Christmas tree ornaments with red and green colors.
