November 17: International UnFriend Day
Having been offline for almost the whole day yesterday, I missed this piece of news: Jimmy Kimmel announcing November 17 as International UnFriend Day. Not really a holiday but hey, this is interesting!
Not that I want to unfriend anyone from my Facebook or Twitter account. Ok, I admit I have some people in mind but why raise controversy when I could just:
- hide their status update
- ignore friendship request
- NOT invite other people to become “friends” with me when I don’t like them in the first place.
I’m sure the third part has some people feel that way with me, I know them and I don’t really care even if they are friends with my children and NOT with me. Their loss to miss out on my interesting links, lol.
Fine with me too to not be in contact, albeit virtually, with some people because I might be tempted to tell write on their wall to stop posting their photos if they don’t get acne laser treatment first. Ok, mean joke.
Who would you want to unfriend, just in case?
Action-Packed Sunday
This Sunday is one that is action-packed.
First off, time will stop for those who will be glued to their super delayed telecast to watch Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao fight off his opponent in boxing. While others go to their favorite bars, sports bars, movie houses, and gyms, others will listen to their radio for the live update. We won’t go anywhere, even if I got two tickets to the fight, we will just look for a livestream.
My youngest daughter wanted to watch but hubby said no for they would be in a crowd full of males. She loves sports and would always wear her favorite nfl t shirts or her running shirt.
My son is not interested in boxing, too bloody and violent for him, he says. He’d rather watch the Formula One Adu Dhabi race and cheer for whoever will win. His favorite driver is not one of those who still has a chance to win the coveted title.
I hope The Pacman wins. And I hope Fernando Alonso wins too! Woot!
“I Support Manny Pacquiao, the World’s #1 Boxer, just like Head and Shoulders, the World’s #1 Shampoo!“
We are one of the many millions of Filipinos who support Manny Pacquiao and yes, we join the nation in praying for him every time he has a big fight. He gives Filipinos hope to beat all the odds and emerge victorious.
As much as we support Manny, our family have also been using Head and Shoulders shampoo for years and we have one less thing to stress about: dandruff 😀
Why do we want Manny to win? He not only puts the country under a bright spotlight with his ability to win but his perseverance, discipline and will to win serve as inspiration for the young people to do their best in whatever endeavor they want to achieve.
Go, Manny! We are behind you all the way!
