Nat Geo Doggy Day Camp

Last week, we went to the National Geographic Channel (NGC) Doggy Day Camp.

NatGeo Channel Doggy Day Camp Stage

To say the children were happy is a bit of an understatement. They had fun gushing, petting (some that they know won’t bite) and taking photos of cute, big, hairy, little, and not so hairy dogs.

The National Geographic Channel’s Doggy Day Camp had these furry friends enjoy different activities such as grooming services and massages from Furrr-pect Grooming, pedigree treats in a kibble buffet set-up by Treats Cafe and playing with other dogs at the Wilderness Pupplay.

Their humans meanwhile learned new tricks and tips from Cesar Millan, a dog behavior expert during the screening of the new season of Dog Whisperer. Dog Whisperer airs every 10 pm Wednesday at the NGC.

Fashion for Boys from SM Kids’ Fashion

Who said boys can’t be fashion-conscious? They can be with the proper clothes (and swagger, lol) from where else but SM Kids’ Fashion.

Below are some fashion ideas from the  2012 Philippine fashion Week and SM Kids’ Fashion we can get for those handsome little men in our lives:

Bradley:

Colorful shorts bring instant liveliness to any ensemble. Capture that energy by pairing them with clothes in complementary—not matching!—colors. Make the outfit pop with sneakers that create contrast with the rest of the hues being worn. A good rule of thumb is to mix up warm colors, like red and orange, with cool colors like green and blue. A contrasting cardigan adds a touch of class, making little boys look dapper, yet casual.

Boys Got Style:

While loud colors can look debonair on a young boy by themselves, bringing in some contrast through additional layers creates depth and texture to the entire outfit. A sporty black jacket makes yellow shirts and red jeans pop, while taupe helps a red collared shirt blend in with dark blue jeans by cooling the vivid color down. The end result is a fashionable look that’s versatile enough for both night and day.

Dude:

Juniors and pre-teens are certified rockstars when dressed in Dude’s duds. Make heavily-textured shirts look sleek and sophisticated with blazers in neutral shades. If you want to keep the look casual, roll up the blazer’s sleeves along with the shirts to add a colorful cuff at the end. With a pair of dark-wash jeans and a stylish pair of sneaks to complete the ensemble, juniors are definite head-turners!

Modern Prince:

Dressed up doesn’t always have to mean toned down for kids. Brighten up the standard black suit with a colorful bowtie in complementary shades, like periwinkle. For a daytime affair, have some fun with a white suit by adding livelier colors like turquoise and salmon. A nice pair of boat shoes loosens things up without straying into informal territory. Crown the outfit with a stylish hairdo, and your dashing little gentleman will be the talk of the town.

Head over to SM Kids’ Fashion section and get the perfect outfit for your sons, nephews and godchildren.

Here are some fashion ideas for your little girls.

Be a Girl Fashionista with SM Kids’ Fashion

With the holidays just around the corner, now is the perfect time to shop for those cute little misses and misters: our daughters, sons, nephews, nieces and godchildren.

If you know your precious ones have discerning taste, head on over to SM Kids’ Fashion department and see what will perfectly fit your young loves.

Here are some fashion ideas from the 2012 Philippine Fashion Week for SM Kids’ Fashion:

SM Kids' Fashion Crib Couture

Crib Couture for your baby boy and baby girl.

Baby boys look adorable when they’re dressed like little gentlemen. Keep things playful by adding a splash of color to timeless pieces. A bright checkered shirt, for instance, brings a smile to everyone’s faces when worn with a white vest and dark khaki pants. Round everything out with white shoes with a vivid trim, and your little bundle of joy becomes extra-huggable!

There’s nothing cuter than a baby girl all dressed up in pink and ruffles. Make her stand out from the rest by incorporating unexpected prints into her wardrobe. Animal prints paired with hot pink ruffles make her extra-adorable and the center of attention in any event! Add a similarly printed headband or a mini-bandana to make her outfit even more unique.

Hello Kitty:

Hello Kitty has always been a favorite among little girls and the brand has evolved from the usual pink-and-white color pallet. A pair of gold sandals is perfect for a black tiered dress with yellow trimmings, while silver goes well with a white-and-pink ruffled dress.Keep accessories to a minimum so that it doesn’t overwhelm the look and tie the whole outfit together with a playful hairstyle.

Girls Edition:

Mid-pastels are very feminine and add vibrant pops of color to a playful girl’s outfit. Aqua, purple, and yellow, for example, are great combinations as they complement each other. Mix and match outfits from this color pallet and add texture by using ruffled or frilly fabrics. Pair a purple top with aqua leggings or vice versa and complete the look with matching shoes.

Little Miss:

Polka dots are one of the trends that never really go out of style. They’re fun and add an interesting twist into any outfit. Bring out your feminine sidewith these polka-dot dresses from Little Miss. A frilly blue drop-waist skirt is perfect with hot pink ballet flats for a casual party, while simple silver sandals go well with a full skirt dress for more formal events.

Blush:

Blush pieces are chic while remaining girly—perfect for Juniors who want to make a statement with her fashion choices. Add an edgy twist to your metallic top-and-leggings combo or shift dress by pairing them with black lace-up sneakers. Put up your hair in a messy bun or tie it up in a loose ponytail for a laidback yet stylish look.

Modern Princess:

Calling all little girls who dream of becoming a princess, Modern Princess is here to let you dress up as one, only better! These colorful dresses add a fun spin to traditional party ensembles and make any girl the life of the celebrations. Pair them with silver sandals for a touch of glimmer and complete the whimsical look with a tiara!

How come we didn’t have these styles when I was younger?

Thought bubble: “I also wish they have these styles too for plus size cocktail dresses, 😀 “

TipTap Soft Soles Shoes

My kids are no longer babies and for that I heave a sigh of relief as I am free of several responsibilities so Yey! for that. If there are some things though that make me miss those times when they were still babies, that would be about getting cute outfits (lol), trying more organic food offerings, and doing cloth diapering. But I digress because I will stay focus on the cute outfits, specifically the shoes.

When TipTap Soft Soles Shoes launched its 2012 Collection, I couldn’t help but gush, gush and gush some more! The shoes are awesome and how I really wish that my kids were able to have these when they were much, much younger.

Here are some of the TipTap Soft Soles Shoes 2012 Collection I took photos of during the 2012 Collection Launch:

VitaPops Wacky Science Fair

We normally do not get out of the house on Sundays unless it is necessary to do so. We are like vampires, hah! We go out when the sun is setting low. Seriously,  we do that Sunday after Sunday with the vow to go out earlier next Sunday.

Last Sunday, October 21, was different though because we went to VitaPops Wacky Science Fair all the way to SM Mall of Asia.

At first the kids were not too excited on the prospect of having to travel far away when they just want to do stay home the whole day. In the end, they were happy we went and here are some photos to explain why:
