Low Disk Space

Laptop has a pop-up message for me: Low Disk Space. Oh no! I’ve got extra space in Picasa for 5usd/year but I haven’t put most of the recent photos there. Blog photos are mostly in Flickr.

I also made my Facebook page a storage of recent photos, saved in original size, just in case I may need to rely on data backup solutions, at least I have some of these online. I just hope Facebook won’t have a big viral infection and sneeze and cough out all these data.

And I hope Facebook won’t ask subscribers to pay for extra disk space used in photos.

BlueWater Day Spa Cinema Theatre

Hubby and I watched The Proposal at BlueWater Day Spa Cinema Theatre in Ortigas last week.

An added surprise was seeing my niece there! Woot!

BlueWater Day Spa Cinema Theatre

It was a lovely experience watching this romantic and super kilig movie sitting on comfortable and big seats. The massage therapists came to give us a much needed massage. She kneaded my stiff back with magical fingers. It was such a lovely experience, watching a movie in a theater with a few people in there while being massaged for several minutes.

This is a perfect venue for a sparty or even a pre-wedding bonding among friends 🙂

As I read several brochures in the lobby, I saw a husband and wife promo for a massage. Hmmm… this is a perfect personalized mothers day gift.

After our late night dinner, I went straight to bed and had a long relaxing sleep.

Here is another post I wrote about BlueWater Day Spa in Capitol Hills.

The Proposal at BlueWater Day Spa

The kids are with my mom for one more week of summer vacation. I miss them so but life goes on and as much as I want to join them, I still have responsibilities with my teaching work.

Hubby and I will have these remaining days as opportunities to have our morning or late-night run together. We are scheduled to have a run later after we watch Senakulo at a nearby church.

It would be nice for us to have a relaxing day together to watch the HD screening of THE PROPOSAL at Blue Water Day Spa since we won’t have to worry about the kids being left out.  That would be a great post-birthday treat for him too since he is celebrating his birthday today which is a Good Friday.

Thank you, LittleRunningTeacher.com, WhenInManila.com,  BlueWaterDaySpa.com and  the Little Running Teacher fanpage if we get chosen to win a pair of tickets to this exciting and relaxing event.

Woot!

No, I’m Not Always Online

Someone asked me once why I am always online. Do I have active stocks online that I watch? Do I wait for a sign for me to buy gold online? Am I looking out for airline seat sales?

To all these I say, no, no and no.

I’m not always online, duh, I have to go to work and I purposely didn’t get a mobile plan to prevent getting online on the road or outside the house.

I’m mostly online when I’m just staying home. I have this urge to know what is happening around through Twitter (follow me!) or through the different online news site. These give me ideas on what to write in my blogs when the writing muse refuses to show itself.

For now, I think it’s time I relax. After all, it’s Maundy Thursday and I’m supposed to be all quiet and reflective about life.

Copying Articles Without Attribution

One of the earliest article I wrote for the now offline wmn.ph was “Wedding Favor Ideas“.

This article was not really about sentimental anniversary gifts though the suggestions there are related for celebrating wedding anniversaries.  Main topic was about wedding favors and how couples have become creative in giving their guests wedding favors that can be used and not thrown away as junk.

Part of my article goes:

Here are some tips on choosing the apt wedding favor depends on the couple’s taste, style, theme and yes, budget.

  • Be practical: practical favors like wine bottle stoppers, notebooks and pens are wonderful ideas. These are not discarded easily because one can have a use for these wedding favor ideas.
  • Anything consumable can be a big hit: mini wine bottles, bottled flavor sauces, flavored candies, mini-cakes and cookies in fancy boxes are some of ideas for this kind of wedding favors. Tea bags with attached instructions with an inspiring message are a good idea too. These can be put in fancy containers that can also double as a table centerpiece.
  • Stylish and functional: linens like handkerchiefs, mini-towels and stationery are some suggested wedding favors.
  • Go green: potted orchids and/or herbs can double as a table centerpiece. Pots can be painted to match the color motif of the wedding.

FYI: This entire article I wrote was copied in it’s entirety by a Multiply account, a seller of wedding favors. No attribution was given to the online publication which was owned by one of the bigger TV networks in the country. If I hadn’t gotten Google Alerts from it, I wouldn’t know that my published and paid for article was copied, word per word.

Oh yeah, my name was there, along with this blog’s url which was linked only when the editor asked seller to.

And no, I will not post the seller’s link here and have her get inquiries and traffic.

Google Goggles

Google Goggles gets rid of your keyboard/keypad usage and uses your camera to search the internet.

Ohhh! That was what I saw while  researching for htc desire reviews. Google goggles got me excited and who wouldn’t be excited? No need to key-in specific keywords, just take a photo of something and Google Goggles the info for you.

Skeptical?
