The shift of career choices among Filipino college students depends upon the world economic growth, as I have personally observed. This may not be true but then again, this is my personal opinion.
More two decades ago, the health care career particularly those of nurses were amongst those who were wanted overseas. Earlier than that time, engineers and those who work in the construction and building were also needed elsewhere in the world particularly in the Middle East.
During the 80s, the shift to a different medical and health care option was physical and occupational therapy courses. This was also the decade then those who took the plunge in computer technology or computer science paved the way for IT experts and programmers who were needed overseas. It was also during this time when and until now, that teachers were being needed overseas.

I love to travel.
If I have the time and the resources, I have already traveled with my family to a lot of places and have a lot of fond memories.
Some of the places where I really want to go to would be Death Valley in California, the Singing Sand Dunes in Morocco and the ruins of ancient Greece and Rome.
A Machu Picchu travel is also a great idea along with an Egyptian travel to the pyramids.
Oh well, dream on, for who knows, I will be able to go to these places sooner than I think if I wish hard enough π

Yellow is a wonderful color. It is bright, warm and lively. Yellow is the theme for this week’s Photo Hunt.
Summer is definitely here on this side of the planet. Everyone is saying “it IS hot” and yes, it is very hot and humid.
I definitely miss the “cold” spell we experienced for a few weeks during December till February. Sure a lot of people got sick because of that and taking a bath in the morning (Filipinos take baths everyday, some even twice or thrice a day when the weather is extremely hot) is a real challenge especially to those without a water heater like us.
Yellow leaf, a sign that the weather will turn cold because some trees shed their leaves. Our own version of “autumn”.

I definitely miss the cool weather. I don’t mind if the days look sad because of overcast skies.
I am sure a lot of you out there are welcoming spring with open arms (except maybe those with allergies) so you can take a lot of flower photos π Have fun!

I love watching Big Bang Theory π
I can totally relate to the characters especially Sheldon because I have met and worked with a lot of (future) Sheldons at work π

Of course, it may seem funny to those who are not initiated with how it is to live with these people who have issues with pragmatics and semantics
But then, I am glad that there are shows like these to enlighten people, and not ridicule and make fun of the fact that there are other people who are like Sheldon who needs understanding and patience from other people

Everyone is saying how hot and humid the weather has gotten this days and to think that its just the fifth day of March! Ugh! I dread to think what late March and April and May weather will bring, another ugh!

It would be nice to have a vacation at the beach, sipping a fruit shake while lulling myself to oblivion on a hammock under tall trees where the cool sea breeze cools me, wow! π
