I could forget about the time when I am in a furniture or a hardware store. I just love to look and touch different fixtures that are handy, useful and nice to look at and see in my mind how these would look when being used.
Bathroom and kitchen fixtures, cleaning materials, picnic tables and chairs and even Reid ball plungers are some of the things I know I will enjoy looking at.
Not that I have aspirations to be an interior designer ( I honestly haven’t got that in me) nor be a builder.
If others like to get lost among fashionable clothes, makeup and shoes, you’d spot me in the hardware section.
I know, how totally unbecoming 😀

With Christmas just a few weeks ago, there are those who sit down with friends or family and try to “review” the past happenings during the season.
If you are tired of the usual Christmas hams flooding the market, why not try Frabelle Christmas Hams? Last year we tried Frabelle Christmas Ham and I must say that those who were able to taste the said ham were impressed and they absolutely loved it.
There is Frabelle Foods Premium Honey Glazed Ham at 1 kg and Frabelle Foods Premium Pear-Shaped Ham at 750g and 500g.
Frabelle Premium Honey Glazed Ham is prepared the classic/traditional was to produce the tastiest and most succulents hams in the market:
- Naturally smoked using natural wood chips which gives the hams a distinct smoky aroma and taste.
- The hams are caramelized to perfection through sugar glazing, topped with sugar and pure honey, blowtorched to yield a sweet succulent taste.
- Use of prime whole-muscle ham that comes from the most premium and tender cut of the hog.
- Gold standards reflected in the packaging which is imported from Greece.
- Free eco-pouch bag for the hams.
Premium Pear-Shaped Hams are made with a unique blend of spices infused in the meat giving it a tasty and juicy taste but at an affordable price.
I love the clothes being sold at Debenhams. When I went at the Debenhams Trinoma branch I enjoyed looking at the children’s dresses as well as the knitted and beanie hats.
I told myself I finally found a store that has styles I like. Now if only I can fit into the dresses and tops, I would be a happy camper, 😀

My first time to make homemade body scrub or DIY body scrub.
Here was what I did:
Ingredients:
Just mix together and voila! (I deliberately added the brown sugar, that light brown part, to show how it looks like)
How to use the DIY body scrub: You can use this before bathing but be sure to wet the body parts you want to use the homemade body scrub with. Gently use the scrub on your elbows, foot and even face. Wash or rinse with your usual soap or facial/body wash.
Skin will be supple and soft after you rinse the homemade body scrub off. Wash the bathroom floor just in case there is oil residue that might cause slips to the next user.
Easy peasy. If you want to use coconut oil, you can do so. You can also opt to remove the sugar.
You can also use an electronic ph meter if you want, no one is stopping you 😀

- small kitchen appliances for your favorite aunt
- pots and seeds for the avid gardener mom
- magazine subscription (real ones or virtual) for your reader dad
- spa gift checks for your girl friends

In my country there is no doubt that we love our children very much. In fact, one of the most obvious prevailing problems is that we have too many children in our midst. That is not the point I want to tackle though.
We love our children but we do not seem to care about their safety. There, I said it.
Regarding safety, this should be one of the priorities we should hold high, along with clean food and surroundings (these are related to safety too) education and growing up with love and care among other things.
Here are a few examples:
- almost no playgrounds in the urban areas (children play on the streets)
- children riding on motorcycles with adults. without helmets
- children packed in tricycles as a school service
- children allowed to ride horses without riding helmets and other gears
- children eating street food not cooked in good sanitary conditions
I could go on and on…
Let us keep the children’s safety a priority. If this is not a government priority, then as parents, we should do this for them.
