Nuffnang and Hapee Special Screening

Nuffnang and Hapee are both Xtraordinary first class.

Why?

Nuffnang is one of the best innovative marketing companies working with bloggers and advertisers in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Australia.

Hapee is first class because it is from Lamoiyan Company that gives quality products based on the values they believe in. We use one of it’s products regularly: GUMTECT toothpaste, recommended by our dentist.

Looking Down from the Sky

How high can one go when looking down? This high?

Flying High

Though of course I’m not so sure if local flights fly as high as international flights, still, it’s a long way from where I am to where I’m looking down 🙂

Got Business Cards?

I’ve run out of calling cards and I need to have some printed soon. I still have a few left of my old ones but since the blog url in those cards have changed from Filipino Mom Blog to Filipino Mom Bloggers, there should be new cards to go with it.

Calling cards, club flyers, business cards are important to have on hand, just in case a possible business plan is in the works.

Do you always carry calling cards with you?

Aging Gracefully

I don’t know if the “Buy HGH” doctor’s order is acceptable to some people. There are some things that are quite difficult to accept regarding one’s age.

If there is a real fountain of youth, then perhaps people will be at each other’s neck to be able to get to it first.

Aging is inevitable.

Being a teacher dealing with young children (and several tweens), I have to feel young, have a know-how with what’s in and what’s hot. Sometimes it irritates me when people acknowledge me and say “opo” or call me “tita” or worse, “mommy” -> duh, hindi kita anak no?! LOL.

Ho do we age gracefully? Here are a few tips on aging gracefully:

  • Have a positive outlook in life.
  • Surround yourself with loved ones who will not just support you but will accept you and all your little flaws.
  • Be physically fit.
  • Eat healthy food.
  • Be mentally alert by constantly learning new things and re-learning other skills you may have forgotten along the way.
  • Take charge of your life by planning ahead.

There are times when I feel young and vibrant and full of new dreams to conquer. There are also times when I feel old and tired. But when I look at my family, I know there’s so much to live for and I want to live longer while I age gracefull, all for them.

Don’t you want to do that too?

Dupe asks Pinoy: “Saan ang Lakad Mo?”

Filipinos are one of the more sociable people in the planet. If by chance you meet someone you know on the street (or in a mall), one of the few greetings exchanged would be:

“O, kumusta ka na?” “Saan ka galing?” “Saan ang lakad mo?”

Aside from these usual introductory greetings, Pinoys seem to find it hard to part ways with friends they meet, and the usual goodbyes are longer than the actual conversations. We even have small talks and make friends with people we don’t know while in a bus or the MRT or at the supermarket’s long line and even while getting documents for Medicare part D plan.

Funny isn’t it, but so true.

We Pinoys are an adventurous bunch but that doesn’t mean we are careless. In our society where things have gotten fast-paced, modern and everyone seems to be in a hurry, we try to be as practical as we can , using on things that will be reliable and able to keep up with everything that we have to do.

Dupe Asks Pinoy: "Saan ang Lakad Mo?"

Because we live in a tropical country, we love wearing slippers. Not just ordinary slippers but functional, stylish and not super expensive.

Personally, one of the brands I use as slippers when I need to go places is my Dupe pair of slippers. This was what I wore when I went to Divisoria with my hubby last Sunday. With all the walking we did, I didn’t have any problems with it.

So, Dupe asks Pinoy: “Saan ang lakad mo?”
