Lechon

Media Noche came and went but I was not able to get a photo of the food we had. We had New Years’ Eve dinner with my in-laws and it was a hodge-podge affair with visitors so taking photos of food was forgotten.Photos of the children were a-plenty though.

Media Noche at home on the other hand was more like a delayed dessert galore of sweets which I was not able to take photos of, again.

Anyway, we had a post-Media Noche lunch yesterday after we had our breakfast picnic.

There was lechon cooked early in the morning and flown in a 10am flight from Bohol, brought by my brother-in-law.

My two younger children did not eat because they saw that it was a PIG on the dining table.

Hope

Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday, the first Saturday for 2009 is HOPE.

Martin Luther King, Jr.: If you lose hope, somehow you lose the vitality that keeps life moving, you lose that courage to be, that quality that helps you go on in spite of it all. And so today I still have a dream.

Let us all light up our hopes so we see our dreams in sight and work on these to come true.

Yes, hope should go hand in hand with prayers and hard work.

Biking

My hubby and the children ride bikes.

I don’t. No, let me rephrase that, I can’t.

The two younger children got a new bike for Christmas. They got one only because we still have a slightly bigger and almost new bike which our oldest daughter rarely use.

Giving sports gifts during Christmas is not new. I am sure there are a lot of children who got new bikes, skateboards, roller blades, different kinds of balls for different kinds of sports that would enable the receivers to further enhance whatever sport they like to concentrate.

For my children, they like biking because its fun. They get to ride her bikes during weekends with a lot of other bikers too.
