Bullrun

Been busy yesterday afternoon and last night watching a DVD of Bullrun, as I have Plurked this morning which of course can’t be seen since I have my time line set to private.

Anyway, in my Plurk thread, I wrote this about the team BMW M3 that I was rooting for:

been keeping myself busy: am watching Bullrun, a reality show car race from Montana to Mexico. There was a Filipino contestant (not so sure) there who…

who had to forfeit their place to another team because they have to go home since an uncle died. Before he left the show, he said that…

“Money is not everything” He was even wearing a Noli me Tangere* shirt then. To you, I say (rock) (applause) and (worship)

Bullrun is exciting. That my son refused to sleep and wanted to finish the whole series could attest to the excitement of the series. Or maybe he really is just really into cars.

The car he was rooting, a Nissan 240SX retired early from the game. I wonder if it was using a  supercharger because it was so powerful! It just so happened they weren’t able to fix the car on-site.

*Noli Me Tangere is a novel written by the country’s national hero, Jose Rizal.

I Need To Upgrade My Laptop Memory

Yeah, I need to upgrade the laptop memory soon. Or I need a new laptop.

There are several applications we want to install in my laptop and the memory is not up to it. Particularly video and audio editing programs as well as CADD programs.

The children also want to play more games other than their current favorite so hubby was even considering getting a new pc for their use. But then again, when we are out of the house, they take over our laptops like aliens taking over the world 😀

Kraft Jet Puffed Mini Marshmallow

This is one of the absolute favorite snacks my children love, Kraft Jet Puffed Mini Marshmallows.

At times they use these jet puffed mini-marshmallows in their hot chocolate drinks, which are just perfect especially when the mornings are chilly.

More often they just get a few scoops and put these in a small bowl for their snacks.

Now that we are exploring our options and starting to bake our own goodies, I think, these Kraft jet puffed mini-marshmallows are great as toppings to brownies. There are so many possibilities to have these in the baked goodies.

One time we even topped our pancakes with these yummy mini marshmallows.

Tupperware Quick Chef Food Processor

I thought I didn’t have kitchen gadgets to write about which is this week’s Lasang Pinoy Sundays theme. Well, I do! *insert Plurk banana dance here 😀

I would have taken a photo of my (almost) newly bought Rubbermaid can opener as suggested my Munchkin Mommy but then I thought about my Tupperware Quick Chef Food Processor which is rarely used. Mine though is bigger and colored white, because its older than the one in the link.

In fact I think I have had this for several years but have used it less than ten times only.

Anyway, a few weeks ago I used this de-mano gadget to chop tomatoes, garlic and fresh basil together for a pasta dish.

The tomatoes, garlic and fresh basil (when my basil plant was still “alive”) sitting in the Tuppeware Quick Chef Food Processor.

This was the dish when it was finally cooked:

Mobile Golf

Several months ago, we got “addicted” to a mobile game called Pro Tour Golf for Nokia moble phones.

My son was talking nonstop about golf clubs and golfing terms. We even visited several sporting goods stores to see how a club or a set costs.

We have seen several items being sold, Titleist golf, umbrellas, bags, shoes and clothes. Hmmm…golfing is not a cheap sport! That is one lesson learned.

The fascination with the sport faded after several months. We still play with the mobile game and maybe when we have more resources on hand, we would be able to afford to play this for real.
