We Love Classical Music

I love listening to Classical Music and the clarinet is one musical instrument that I love to hear.

The daughters are good recorder players. The eldest one learned in school while the younger one learned by herself back when we were still homeschooling.

We have researched about these wind instruments during that time and learned about different wind instruments including terms like saxophone, oboe, reed and fipple. We also looked at stores with websites like mitchell lurie clarinet reeds at wwbw among others and visited real music stores.

Bottom line: I miss doing homeschooling.

Catching Up

During this time when the youngest child in into music and has expressed intentions of getting a bit serious with the stuff that goes into playing music, it makes me wonder how I need to cope with what they know and what they still need to know.

So when this child talks about something I am not familiar with based on the conversations she had with her classmates and friends, I need to read about what she is talking about.

tabs

plucking

strumming and what?

great boss dd 3 at musicians friend

I’m happy though that apart from the YouTube tutorials, she reads up on the things she still needs to learn to improve her guitar playing skills.

I get lost sometimes but I know I will cope up if I read what she is talking about 😀

Old Fashioned Handwritten Letters

For printing needs, I really wish that businesses offer more detailed printing services for those who want to have their works printed.

I for one dream of designing invitations and special occasion cards (3D cards!) as well as stationery pages for those people who want to go back to the lost art of writing correspondence instead of sending emails.

And why not, isn’t it more exciting to receive a handwritten note on a dainty and pastel-colored paper that read an email online?

I know I’d like that, even if it takes a while to receive these letters.

Bathroom Designs

I love bathrooms/ladies’ rooms/ restrooms with character.

These are bathroom photos I took somewhere the hubby and I went to and I couldn’t help but take photos no matter how blurred these turned out to be:

Bathroom Ceiling Light

Bathroom Door

The last bathroom photo I took was last Sunday with my youngest daughter (haha, a selfie no doubt) at the church were we attend Sunday mass. It was our first time to go down to the church’s public ladies’ room and I was impressed how nice it was inside. It was as if the designer looked at www.qualitybath.com/ for some inspiration.

Not only should these rooms smell fresh and clean but the bathroom fixtures inside must look good too because why else are these called “rest rooms” if not to be able to relax and feel better (LOL) after doing what needs to be done 😀

New Strings

We went to have the youngest child’s guitar strings replaced yesterday at the store where we bought said guitar.

As early as 11am there was already a crowd in the mall because apparently, there was a big sale. Much as we wanted to look around especially in the building we were in where the big hardware store was located (we need to get a few things for some things like cabinet handles, threaded standoffs and batteries)

New strings, happy girl 😀

Thank you to the staff of RJ Guitar SM North EDSA Cyberzone Building.
