The end of last year signaled grief to my father’s side of the family when a grand uncle passed away. We were able to visit him a few days before he breathed his last and it was a bittersweet memory that he still recognized me, disoriented though he was.
This sunset photo (I made it grainy in texture) was taken when we were on our way home from that visit:
Here is the photo without the grainy texture.
We went back a few days after for his wake but we just stayed for some time since we had to travel back home. It was good to see relatives even if the circumstances were sad. Spending some time with them, albeit it was a very short time made me realize how much I have been amiss on what is happening with them. Continue Reading »

It is known among my close circle of friends that I watch Glee every Wednesday morning through webtv.
It so happened that I woke up rather late today and missed this portion where Tina and Artie are in a mall and Artie showed Tina that he can walk!
In the mall, when Artie and the people are dancing, one can see the iconic Jollibee signage in the background. It may not be as known internationally as it’s rival brands but it is a grand way to be seen (though accidentally) on TV!
How’s that for free promotion? Jollibee in Glee. Jollibee was even a trending topic in Twitter 🙂
Here is the link to the video.
Thanks for the video Yahoo! Video 🙂

I used to love buying fashion magazines and ogle at the stick figures lovely models and personalities featured there. Now its a different kind of glossy readings that I want to browse (just browse, I don’t usually buy): food magazines with beautiful- good-you-can-eat-them-on the printed-paper food photos and home decor mags with beds, linens, Hansgrohe faucets, curtains and color combination suggestions. I also love reading hubby’s outdoor magazines including those that are frequented by two-wheeled machines.
If ever, I want to buy these, I’d usually go to a bargain book store and get back issues. Three or four issues equal the price of a brand new one. Since there is absolutely no expiration date on a recipe nor a must-see place, I see nothing wrong with getting these.
What about you?
