CSI Crime City in Facebook

I told myself that I would steer clear of online time wasters this year. Before 2010 was over however, I found myself playing another online game, CSI Crime City in Facebook. Gah!

I spent a lot of time and money (virtual though) to make “My Lab” look good, with the latest equipment and the best furniture my earning could buy. I even changed my floor to something that is made of metal because I wouldn’t want anyone to slip and break evidence. If only there’s an option to apply non skid solution, I would go for it.

Castle

I still have at least two or three more Richard Castle season three shows to watch before I say I’ve watched all his shows.

Yep, definitely a Castle fan here. I even follow WriteRCastle’s Twitter.

Castle can be watched over here. This year’s last episode is called Last Call.

My Not-so-Secret Wish

I got me a not-so-secret wish to have a new camera. I’m in no hurry to get one because:

a. my P&S cameras are working out fine and I’m thinking that if I wish hard enough one of them might not function full well, like the newer one that is not taking good photos these days 🙁

b. I got me no budget for newer and more expensive one

As it is, one of the two cameras is not functioning well right now in terms of taking good quality photos and it is being used just for taking video much like camcorders. It’s frustrating of course, knowing I can’t take those super zoomed photos for now.

But I am patient. I believe I am so I will wait for the right opportunity to have one, when I can afford to.

Ignore Drama

  1. Twitter ::  teacherjulie but restricted tweets to followers only
  2. Facebook :: teacherjulie for my blog
  3. MySpace :: I have none
  4. Friend :: True friends are hard to find, online friends are a dime in a dozen
  5. Subscribe :: I did to some online sites where I can watch TV series and blu ray movies
  6. Conflict :: of interest is often one of the many reasons people have misunderstanding
  7. Ignore ::  a friend request from people you don’t know or accounts that seem suspicious
  8. Drama ::  to watch one in the movies or on tv is fine with me but to see drama unfold in online communities is nasty, well, for me, it is
  9. Hide :: your status from people you don’t really know. There IS a way to do it.
  10. List :: down your friends in LISTS, that way you can opt to see who is online or not if you want to chat with them or send a group message. In FB that is.

Currently Watching NUMB3RS

I love watching DVDs in my laptop because it has a big screen and wonderful speakers. Last night I was watching NUMB3RS but fell asleep only to wake up hearing beep-beep-beeping sounds from outside: hubby is waiting for me to open the gate for him.

Hubby’s netbook fails in comparison when it comes to playing games, listening to audio and watching movies. Not that it needs a new video card but the audio is just blah, like sounds made from tin can 🙁

Hubby at times uses a pair of nice speakers if he wants to listen to music or puts on his big headphones. I don’t need to do that 😉

November 17: International UnFriend Day

Having been offline for almost the whole day yesterday, I missed this piece of news: Jimmy Kimmel announcing November 17 as International UnFriend Day. Not really a holiday but hey, this is interesting!

Not that I want to unfriend anyone from my Facebook or Twitter account. Ok, I admit I have some people in mind but why raise controversy when I could just:

  • hide their status update
  • ignore friendship request
  • NOT invite other people to become “friends” with me when I don’t like them in the first place.

I’m sure the third part has some people feel that way with me, I know them and I don’t really care even if they are friends with my children and NOT with me. Their loss to miss out on my interesting links, lol.

Fine with me too to not be in contact, albeit virtually, with some people because I might be tempted to tell write on their wall to stop posting their photos if they don’t get acne laser treatment first. Ok, mean joke.

Who would you want to unfriend, just in case?
