Daiso Store

After watching a movie the other night, hubby and I decided to enter a Japan bargain store and browse the items they are selling. Everything was being sold at a uniform price.

There were so many things being sold there, from bathroom thingamajigs, to school supplies, beauty tools, safety products, kitchen stuff, to knick-knacks.

We got several items. A small lock for eldest daughter’s locker, a bucket, a round thing that will make eggs look perfectly round, and other stuff.

Well, you gotta give credit to the store they sure know how to sell. We paid a lot more than have we brought out the calculators and added the amount of what we were getting.

No regrets, we are happy with the loot.

Nanny Alert

One of the risks working parents have to take is to leave their child(ren) behind in the care of their nannies. Most of the time, these nannies are strangers. When they get a little lucky, these nannies are people known to them. There are those who have their parents look after their children.

Is it any wonder then that in situations like these, household put up video surveillance equipment in their homes?

If my situation is like that I have mentioned above, i would definitely install these things. And why not? There have been a lot of abuses recorded on these equipments by yes, the nannies towards the children they were supposed to take care of.

Some were so difficult to watch. One time I even had my younger children watch a video that managed to record an abuse by a nanny who brutally abused her ward, a girl that looked like 3-4 years old.

My then 7yo son told me why I am making them watch it, the act being done was bad.

I told them so they know that there are people who will do these things to them and they should know what to do. He answered back that I am always there and that no one will do that to them.  Awww…

Sigh. Be careful in choosing your child’s nanny.

Razon’s Halo-Halo

I have heard so much about this Halo-Halo so when the branch in UP-AyalaLand TechnoHub opened, hubby and I trooped there to sample the “Let’s chill”y food.

We ordered dinner first and will just have that halo-halo for dessert.

Dinner was disappointing.

I thought it was just me but the lady sitting on the next table remarked (rather loudly) that her food was cold and even had it returned to be reheated. Oh well.

Razon halo-halo

There is the halo-halo.

I must say I didn’t enjoy it that much because of the earlier disappointment. Maybe I will just probably have this again next time after having dinner elsewhere.

Cleaning the Kitchen

Cleanliness in the kitchen. This is a very important thing to remember.

Why not? Food is being prepared here, food not only to feed hungry tummies but food that will also nourish.

One of the most important places to observe cleanliness is the kitchen sink where most of the food being prepared, as well as the dishes and silverware that go with the food are washed and cleaned.

I use vinegar and/or baking soda in cleaning our sink and the tiles surrounding it. These two are more environment friendly and less harsh than chemicals.

What about you?

Office Paycheck

  1. Memo ::  uh-oh!
  2. Copy ::  paste
  3. Office ::  supplies
  4. Stapler ::  lost again
  5. Paycheck ::  woohoo!
  6. Watercooler ::  cold
  7. Desk ::  cluttered
  8. Human ::  Resources
  9. Resort ::  to the beach!
  10. Boss ::  impress him/her

These words reminded me of that very short time I sent working as an Admin/Human resource assistant. Paperwork was boring. The tedious task of knowing the computer codes to use was a bit too much for me since the ones we used then were the old chunky machines, so unlike the netbooks that people use these days.

If perhaps I have a chance to go to this line of work again, I’m not sure I will enjoy doing paperwork more than the challenges I deal with at my present work.

I Love Coffee

I love coffee. Who doesn’t? Even my only son, when asked what is his favorite smell, he would answer “coffee’. Yes, he says it is his favorite smell in the world. LOL.

Anyway, hubby told me of a coffee machine that they have in their office and I know it is impossible but I wanted to tell him that I want one at home! Imagine having four kinds of coffee anytime I want to? Wow.

Hmmmm… maybe not that kind and I would gladly settle for a  Nespresso because I might have a caffeine overdose with that bigger machine.

Ok, that does it. I am going to get my second cup now.
