Mascots, Party Planners and Balloon Giveaways at Jacks Loft Eastwood

balloons

It’s Christmas break and with the children getting bored with their new toys, how about making a run and meeting new friends over at Jack’s Loft in Eastwood to see mascots, party planners, balloon twisters as they show you the new tricks of the trade re kiddie parties?

Not only will your children experience getting entertained, you also get the chance to help flood victims in Mindanao through your donations.

Happening on December 28, 2011 from 12nn onwards.

A Child’s Wish

Last Friday, I wished for a new guitar. Not for me but for the youngest child who is bent on learning how to play the guitar. She has her eye on a certain brand. I’m sure when the daughter is adept enough to play she would be asking for gretsch guitars.

When we were still homeschooling, she learned to play a recorder all by herself but somehow this skill was forgotten due to the rigors of regular schooling. I hope she can re-learn when they have flute lessons in 4th grade.

Music is the language of the soul, so they say. My children grew up hearing music and learning songs that children their age probably don’t know. Here is one of my youngest daughter’s favorite song: That’s All I Want From You

I Heart Trinkets

As I was going through my trinkets the other day, I picked up the many pieces that make up my Bracelet a Breloques. I love my trinkets which are mostly cutesy bracelets and earrings. Of course, diamond rings would be great but I can’t wear these when I ride the train when I go to work, 😀

Bracelet a Breloques

I remember I wrote a post about it so I tried to go look for the post in the archives. I was surprised that there’s a number 7 in the “Share in Facebook” button because I remembered that I did not share this post using that button.

Wheee! It feels good that there were people who shared this post. Thank you, thank you! I hope you shared it because you liked it 🙂

2011 Mommy Milkshake

My two younger kids and I are joining 2011 Mommy Milkshake, yey! Lookit!  We’re in the first photo! We joined last year’s 2010 Mommy Milkshake Run.

We already got a confirmation email on how we can register.

Mommy Milkshake is a yearly run/walk/crawl/hop/skip event where pregnant, breastfeeding, and beautiful moms (this is where I belong since I’m neither pregnant nor breastfeeding, haha!) and their children (and husbands too) join to have fun.

Pregnant moms however, need to wear the official shirt for the run and not their cutesy maternity clothes. All participants have pink singlets and race bibs.

We’re excited already to join 2011 Mommy Milkshake.

Challenged

I know gushing about having a PR is sooo like a noob blogger *insert rolls eyes emoticon here*

My food blog recently got PR’ed, if there’s such a word. This happening came as a surprise and inspired me to cook more, never mind if a glowing neon “buyphenphedrine.com” sign is making it’s way to me. LOL.

Right now, the boiled potatoes (with grated cheese and butter) are sitting in the blue silicon baking pan, inside the fridge waiting for 4:30am. I’m gonna bake this for a bit for the kids’ breakfast.

The spring rolls are also waiting for their turn to get fried in the morning.

The cooked rice is in the fridge too, to be cooked as fried rice.

And best of all, the coconut jam warmed with butter and “cooked” with scrambled egg is cooling down. This will be for tomorrow morning’s toast.

Now, on to budget management… 😀

Looking For a New Backpack

We bought the eldest daughter a new backpack because she hasn’t had a new bag since 5th grade. There are three backpacks that she alternately use since that last time we got her a bag.

She doesn’t use the backpack we got her, says it’s too big, way bigger than her, LOL.

Maybe we shouldn’t have bought that backpack and just let her choose the bag she likes because I chanced upon her looking at GoLite Backpacks the other day.

I guess we’d let her choose the bag she likes next time.

Hay gastos na naman.
