HP Deskjet Ink Advantage printers: Practical Printers for Family Use

We have been HP printer users for years now. As of late, we use HP Deskjet F2480 at home and before that an HP printer that uses a toner which we used for a good number of years.

With the introduction of new and high tech HP Printers, owning a printer for home-use has never been exciting! This techie mom with a super techie husband and equally techie kids who rely on printers for their projects, homework and portfolio requirements sure can benefit from the new features of our well-liked HP printers.

Here are the reasons why these HP Ink Advantage Printers are useful in more ways than one:

  1. HP Ink Advantage printers allow users to download pre-designed templates from content providers in the web
  2. HP Ink Advantage Printers deliver high-quality prints with low running costs (now, this is what we money watchers-economode printing setting need, LOL)
  3. The print apps provide users the ability to download templates and other printables and install them in the printer for access or via deliveries directly to their printers HP scheduled delivery  at a specific day and time of the week.
  4. HP has also underscored the value of productive print apps to enhance children’s learning with the inclusion of education apps from Singapore’s leading education publisher, Singapore Asia Publishers Pte Ltd (SAP), and proprietary brand owner of renowned Primary Math programme in Singapore, onSponge Pte Ltd, (We have SAP books at home on reading, Science and Math, so woohoo!)
  5. Designed to enhance the learning experience of young students, the print apps provide busy parents and their children with direct access to educational content that spans across pre-school and primary school levels, and is delivered directly on their HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5525, 6525 e-All-in-One printers.
  6. The HP Deskjet Ink Advantage portfolio allows for affordable printing with Original HP inks, which produces high-quality prints reliably, without the cost and hassles of printer damage, messy leaks, spills and clogged cartridges when using alternatives.

Delivering premium content to support the preschool to primary academic journey

Developed for young learners across pre-school and primary school levels, the new HP print apps deliver premium education content from the following providers:

Bite-sized practice materials are delivered to encourage good study habits and positive learning by pacing children’s learning through daily practice. The SAP Education Print App now offers assessment content for English, Math and Science. SAP plans to offer content for Chinese language later this year.

Each week, a series of practice problem sums for students in Primary 3 to Primary 6 levels will be made available through the print app, helping young learners to hone their problem-solving skills with core techniques and develop their reasoning abilities. Users can access the step-by-step solutions of the problem sums on www.onSponge.com, where they can also post questions at the Forum for online help.

The print apps offer anything from family activities, business, marketing, home, travel and other interests. Calendar templates, photo albums, coloring pages and signs, game pages, maps and even recipes are just some of the myriad downloadable printables.

Most of the applications from a wide array of choices are free of charge and may be accessed through the HP ePrintCenter.

Skylanders Party

We attended a Skylanders-theme Party organized by Let’s Paint D Town Red.

Thank you @letspaintdtownred_8 We had a wonderful time! :)

The venue was packed. The food was great. The entertainment, game corners and music were great. What made the party more festive and fun are the decorations and the way that the lights played on these (this made me think of artemide lighting fixtures, lol)

Guitar Tuner App

My guitar-playing daughter uses a Guitar Tuner app on her Android phone. This proves to be a useful app since she is not that adept in tuning her guitar yet because she always asks her father to do the tuning for her.

Guitar Tuner app

I say this is what technology is all about, children learning new things independently. Of course, interpersonal interaction is still best but what if, in cases like these when she needs to tune her guitar and my husband is at work

We Love Classical Music

I love listening to Classical Music and the clarinet is one musical instrument that I love to hear.

The daughters are good recorder players. The eldest one learned in school while the younger one learned by herself back when we were still homeschooling.

We have researched about these wind instruments during that time and learned about different wind instruments including terms like saxophone, oboe, reed and fipple. We also looked at stores with websites like mitchell lurie clarinet reeds at wwbw among others and visited real music stores.

Bottom line: I miss doing homeschooling.

Catching Up

During this time when the youngest child in into music and has expressed intentions of getting a bit serious with the stuff that goes into playing music, it makes me wonder how I need to cope with what they know and what they still need to know.

So when this child talks about something I am not familiar with based on the conversations she had with her classmates and friends, I need to read about what she is talking about.

strumming and what?

I’m happy though that apart from the YouTube tutorials, she reads up on the things she still needs to learn to improve her guitar playing skills.

I get lost sometimes but I know I will cope up if I read what she is talking about 😀

Old Fashioned Handwritten Letters

For printing needs, I really wish that businesses offer more detailed printing services for those who want to have their works printed.

I for one dream of designing invitations and special occasion cards (3D cards!) as well as stationery pages for those people who want to go back to the lost art of writing correspondence instead of sending emails.

And why not, isn’t it more exciting to receive a handwritten note on a dainty and pastel-colored paper that read an email online?

I know I’d like that, even if it takes a while to receive these letters.
