Baby Alive Doll

Baby Alive dolls are cute. They cry. They laugh. You can feed them. You can also change their (very expensive) nappies. They look real, hair and skin tone and all. Depending on the children’s “color” orientation of course.

But my children don’t like ’em because for them, these dolls are scary. Tried to discourage them otherwise, especially the younger daughter but “No can do” for these dolls for her.

Oh well…*shrugs shoulders*

Low Tech Reporting

When my son had his turn to report in front of his class last year, he wanted to bring a laptop with him for presentation. I had to say “NO” because I wanted him to do “manual preparations”. I helped him prepare by choosing pictures to print for a mini-album.

We didn’t have enough time to have poster printing so he had to write the important concepts in his report in several big brown papers called “Manila papers” which his classmates taped on the writing boards. See a blog post about the report here.

Hubby helped by buying souvenir items as well as food samplers for the classmates to have. These items were a big hit!

Much as I wanted the children to use technology in their studies, doing the low tech and manual labor way would not make them none the wiser.

Green Iced Sting Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

A box with Green Iced Sting Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (and Original Glazed Doughnuts) was delivered last week. A big thanks to Krispy Kreme! Yey!

Green Iced Sting Krispy Kreme

The kids were delighted with the green color with hint of bubble gum flavor and mint (white stripes) flavor inspired by the movie  “The Green Hornet” Definitely something new and kid-approved. My kids love it!

The Green Iced Sting Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are only available till February 13, 2010.
