The Best of Modern Motherhood: Expo Mom 2012

Expo Mom 2012

Expo Mom 2012 is on! Be there at the Rockwell Tent on May 5-6 Saturday and Sunday and experience what is Modern Motherhood.

Being a mom today is so different from what it was before. For starters, we have access to all this information. We now know that caring for our children starts from Day 1 of our pregnancy. We now know that the best way to take care of our family is to take care of ourselves first. We also know that technology, while allowing us to make full use of our time, is a double-edged sword as it has exposed our children to materials that they may not yet be ready to see,” observes Janice Villanueva-Crisostomo, founder of Mommy Mundo, a dynamic organization devoted to empowering and engaging mothers through unique concept events and publications. Mommy Mundo has been organizing Expo Mom since 2008.

She adds, “These are some of the issues that the modern mom faces every day. Expo Mom hopes to answer some of these concerns by showcasing the latest tools that can help us save time and make tasks easier, so that we can devote more of our efforts into becoming better moms.”

What kind of mom are you? Me, I am a Hands-On Mom. No live-in househelp for almost a decade makes me a hands-on mom, right?

HANDS-ON Mom

Ipanema Opens Sandalias Store in SM Lucena

Ipanema recently opened a branch called Sandalias in SM Lucena

Ipanema Sandalias SM Lucena

Ipanema is a fashionable and hip Brazilian flip-flop brand. The store features the latest collection from last year’s Philippine Fashion Week alongside Ipanema Women’s and Men’s Collection, Kids line as well as Gisele Bundchen collection.

Ipanema Sandalias SM Lucena

It’s nice to find something for the family members in specialty stores like Sandalias, especially with summer just a few months away.

I’m sure husbands and children will enjoy browsing their own flip flops in this store after accompanying mom who shopped for porcelain switch plates.

The “SANDALIAS” store exclusively selling Ipanema flip flops is located at the ground floor of SM City Lucena.

Longer and Thicker Eyelashes

Do you use eye shadow? Do you use those eyelash curling thingamajigs? You probably said “yes” to both questions.

eyeshadow

Do you have long eyelashes and have no need to attach false ones? Have you ever wished that there is something like “best eyelash growth enhancer” that will help you have longer and thicker eyelashes like these?

You can play on your eyes to make it look like you have long and thick eyelashes by asking your favorite makeup artist for help.

The use of eyelash curlers and mascara can help. I think. I’m sure there are lots of other eye makeup paraphernalia one can find. Am a noob with makeup.

If in case you don’t have a makeup artist, there are videos in the internet that can teach you how. Go, look for these videos and have those longer and thicker eyelashes that you are looking forward to having.

The two other stores are the flagship outlet at Festival Supermall in Alabang and Nature Republic SM North EDSA, The Block.

What sets Nature Republic apart from other cosmetic companies is that uses state-of-the-art facilities for their products that use the most natural ingredients for world-class and superior quality products. These are incorporated in different Nature Republic products: Blue Lagoon water from Polynesia; Glacial Water from the Alps; Deep Sea Water from Greenland; Ocean Area Pine Tree from France; Hawaiian Hibiscus; Madagascar Butdelria; Morocco Monoi; gold Caviar; North American Kawai; and other similarly exotic and efficacious extracts and substances

The price range is good because most of the products are affordable starting from PhP60 – Php300. There are pricier products that range from PhP1,000 – PhP2,500 or thereabouts.

Jang Geun Suk (JGS or Sukkie) is Nature Republic’s major endorser. *hears shrieks*

Here are some of the products that can be bought at Nature Republic stores:
