Manganese in the Water?

I just wrote in a chat room that:

may water kami ngayon (headspin) pero color brown (angry)

which means we have water flowing out of the faucets but the color is brown. Sigh.

There we go again, having waterless or dirty water Maynilad problems. When will this ever end? I don’t know if it is better we have water where I need to look for wholesale water filter or no water at all.

I don’t think I can use that brownish water to bathe my kids nor wash plates.

Manganese? I don’t think I’d want to have manganese in the water, no thank you. Ewww…

UPDATE: no water from August 2 till now, August 5, 2010, 11:20am. Sigh.

Cafe 5845, Dishes with Kraft Eden Cheese

Cafe 5845 is a unique cheese cafe, the only one in the Philippines, has opened last July 24, 2010 at the SM Mall of Asia.

Cafe 5845 is made possible with the partnership of a great brand name and a trusted institution: Kraft Eden Cheese and MIHCA, Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts.

Different menus will be served daily so you will never ran out of new dishes (with cheese) to try until the end of August.

Kraft Eden Cheese and MIHCA achieved the Guinness World Record of the most number of dishes cooked with cheese last December 2009 at the Araneta Coliseum.

The number? 5,845 dishes cooked with Kraft Eden  cheese.

Cheese Dynamite

Pssst…that piece of chili stuffed with cheese, breaded and crunchy, is THE bomb! Aptly so since it is called Cheese Dynamite. I absolutely love it!

Dance Marathon

It used to be called “disco” but the term has now evolved to “dance club”. Hubby even smiled crookedly when I used the term “dance club” mainly because it sounds new to him 😀

I went to this wonderful event for women (post will be done hopefully soon) at a dance club last weekend. Though the guests watched on the sidelines, it was nonetheless exciting to see young and energetic ladies do their moves on the dance floor upon the instructions of a famous dance choreographer.

dance marathon

When the competition was getting “hotter” though, I noticed a lot of people inside the dance club which includes the parents of the mostly minor participants in the dance marathon.

It was a spacious venue but it had me look for exit alarms just in case.

Do you go to dance clubs?

He Likes Home-Baked Goodies More

The birthday is up and coming for my son and mine at the same day. Our only son requested that I bake some goodies to bring to school for his classmates. He wouldn’t hear of store bought goodies since he said he wanted his classmates to taste what I bake at home. I feel giddy of course that the son feels like that even at my lack of baking prowess.

I have been steering clear away from the tempting oh-so-good baked goodies for personal consumption but I can help get a small piece, and another and another especially when these are still warm.

I feel ze waist expanding and something tells me that I might be hearing whispers of get strongest fat burners soon.

So off to the kitchen to start the mixing and baking.
