Sago’t Gulaman for TriColore

I was a bit challenged with this one and since I can not find any tricolore food photo in my files that I have cooked/made, I decided to put this hastily-taken photo of a glass of Sago’t Gulaman. Gutom na kasi at that time kaya hastily taken, more like an after-thought, πŸ˜€

Sago’t gulaman. One of the Pinoy thirst-quenchers that seems to have taken a back seat because of the influx of sugar-laden soda drinks, tea-based drinks and other drinks called shakes with chemically enhanced flavors. This is perfect for summer, isn’t it? If not, a halo-halo will do just fine πŸ˜€

Gotta.have.one.like.this.today ->note to self.

Yeah and not think that I need some weight loss pills to get ready for the beach this summer πŸ˜€

    I love this drink. Sago is probably called Boba in some Asian thirst quenchers. And I love ’em.
    BTW, thanks for the comment on Z’s post. I am more creative with the main dish and she has more knack and patience on the desserts. (Got the sweet tooth).

    Love this type of sago and not the usual tapioca (pearl) types they usually sell here… lalo na pag medyo makunat-kunat pa with arnibal that’s not too sweet too – sarap!

    I also like simple halo-halo and I have the sago removed from pearl shakes πŸ˜€ Of course, sago’t gulaman is different from pearl shakes πŸ™‚

  19. admin on 03 Mar 2009 at 4:03 pm link comment

    With pearl shakes, I usually have the sago not included kasi parang artificial yung taste but sago’t gulaman is different, yum!
