Sweet and Sour Pork

What comes to mind first?
For me, this:
Sweet and sour pork. Yes, a Chinese recipe but it has come to be a Filipino dish that we love.
I love this but honestly, I haven’t tried cooking that. Maybe because we haven’t had pork for a long time (except pork steak cuts for baon). I tried sweet and sour sauce with fried tilapia though.
That by the way was an order from Chowking ๐ Tastes good but a tad too sweet. I could do with more lean meat than fat and more vegetables in the dish.
i can just imagine how this tastes like! missing chowking again!:(
i’m not very fond of sweet and sour pork although your photo looks yummy! i prefer sweet & sour fish.:D
i don’t recall cooking this dish, too. I think because it’s quite tedious to prepare everything from scratch, unless of course I’d be cooking only the sauce for left-over breaded pork.
But definitely yummy!
Hubby just loves this! In our home, we like to deep fry the pork first then just add the sauce later. And yes, leaner cuts and more veggies are big pluses too!
