UNILAB Link-Up Open-Source Program For Health and Wellness

Have you heard about Unilab Link-Up?

Unilab Link Up website

Unilab recently launched Unilab Link-Up, an open-source program for innovations in healthcare. This is a site where innovators, suppliers, consumers and those who have new ideas on how to improve health and wellness can contribute in the following aspects:

  • wellness products
  • wellness services
  • packaging
  • manufacturing technologies

Unilab, a Filipino pharmaceutical and healthcare company, created Unilab Link-Up as an open-source facility that will enable to match innovative ideas on heath and wellness with their resources to be able to bring the idea to intended market.

Unilab Link-Up aims to provide solutions to the health and wellness needs of the Filipinos which still needs to be addressed by the existing products and services in the country.

“For many years, we’ve drawn from our internal resources and expertise to come up with trusted quality healthcare products,” says Unilab President & CEO Clinton Campos Hess. “Now, we’re broadening our sources of innovation to include not only our internal resources, but also our partners, customers, and consumers; thus the Unilab Link-up.”

How to join the Unilab Link-Up:

  • Submissions go through a four-level review process by an idea review body, with corresponding rewards for the innovation partner as the idea progresses into the review levels until the idea is launched in the market.

“Link up with us and together let’s explore the exciting possibilities of your ideas,” invites Hess. “Your ideas could be the start of something big.”

Cover Versions

Among those who sing cover songs in YouTube, there is one we specifically love: Maddie Jane.

With today’s technology, it is easy to listen to songs we wouldn’t have access to years ago. In fact, upcoming bands and singers get easily recognized through the various means that people can listen to them. It is also easier to access their musical creations through music cd duplication.

To my aspiring little guitarist, I hope she also gets her break with the fickle-minded audience someday 🙂

Skewed

If there’s one thing I have a hard time doing, it is opening and closing bottles and jars with threaded openings. I have difficulty doing this the covers that I put back are always skewed and I always, always have to remove it and try again. It’s as if I need special techniques and gadgets for these threaded inserts.

To curb my frustration on having to open and close the covers of mayonnaise which I always use for the sandwiches the children bring to school, I resorted to getting those Japanese mayonnaise for easier grip on the cover.

Soyami: Snacking Without the Guilt

Soyami Snacking Without the Guilt Blog Contest Awarding happened last January 25, 2012 at Tourne, The Fort Strip.

Soyami

The event was hosted by Marc Nelson. There were other speakers including Chef Sandra Hataway of Tourne, a nutritionist from Fitness First, Q-Life Face One, Fruit Magic, Haribon Foundation, Suncoast Lightwater and Vit Boost, Fernbelly Treehugger and Rudy Project from which I won a usb, yey!

Below was the food prepared by Tourne which incorporated Soyami chips.

Tourne food with Soyami

Here was my blog entry which unfortunately didn’t make it to the top three which coincidentally will be what the next blog contest will be about, healthy recipes with Soyami chips.

I went home early after the event and didn’t line up for the other freebies they gave away because I still have conferencing services to attend to. It was nice to catch up with a friend who sat beside me during this event 🙂
