Log Cabin

Yes, I still play FarmTown (I started again a few weeks back) even if my friends/virtual neighbors have not been actively playing for almost a year now and have moved on to other virtual games.

What motivated me to play was the inclusion of a log cabin in the list of buildings to buy.In truth, I really want to live in a log cabin, complete with a fireplace, rustic furniture and quilted bed covers.

Of course, I am still way too far from reaching the level but I am slowly making my way to that. I still have ten more levels to go (lol) and I am sure I will reach that level after a several years, I mean weeks.

Online Safety

Two friends related how their emails (both from the same email platform) have been hacked. Of course, the one who hacked the email sent spam messages to their contacts.

Hubby’s email was almost compromised too, and yes, from the same services that the first two used.

So, if people get laptop insurance, they should also protect their email addresses (and files!) from being compromised to avoid phishing and becoming victims of identity theft.

Here are a few tips that might help on how to protect your emails from getting hacked:

  • avoid predictable passwords like your birthdate, Social Security number, birthdates of your children, maiden names, name of spouse, wedding anniversary date (these information can be easily hunted down for the purpose of getting your account hacked)
  • use letters and numbers and special characters in your passwords
  • do not disclose your login details and passwords to others (maybe unless in dire emergencies)
  • clear the cache or your browsing history if you are using an internet cafe
  • NEVER click on links that seem suspicious

Be net savvy and safe!

The Event

Am on the lookout for new TV series and I got interested in NBC’s The Event.

Even if I know not being able to watch a show or two in series like this especially when the clip won’t play because I am not in any US territory, will make me feel wanting for more, still a good storyline will not prevent me from watching. I hope I won’t forget the day and the time though since I am 12 hours earlier 😀

Happy Town TV Series

When one goes online, there’s no way one would know what new information or sites are waiting to be discovered.

That I know for sure especially when I need to research topics like eczema, fungus and dandruff for articles I need to write. Ewww, I know.

Anyway, one site led to another until I came to a site about Happy Town TV series. Though this show received mixed reviews and there are rumors that it will not be airing anymore, the first three episodes I watched were interesting enough to keep me waiting for the next episode to air.

So now, I’ll get ready so I can watch the 4th episode. Can’t wait.

Stop Motion Videos

I love stop motion videos. Two of my favorites are the Human Tetris and ESCP Europe Human Experience. Watch it and you will know what I mean.

Mashable however posted a list of Top Ten Stop Motion Videos on YouTube. My two favorites didn’t make the cut however but I will be viewing these ten videos in a while.

Woohoo!
