Philips AVENT Celebrates Today’s Moms

Philips AVENT: Experience healthy and joyful motherhood from pregnancy to playground

One of the most difficult but most rewarding roles is that of the role of a MOTHER. Motherhood is a 24/7 role that demands full time attention and utmost care in putting the children’s needs before one’s own. Love and unselfishness along with unlimited patience, can help a mother go through the long and busy days with spent caring for the children.

It is in this regard that Philips AVENT, the brand most recommended by moms worldwide, recognizes the challenges and rewards mothers are facing in this modern day. Philips AVENT carries on in helping mothers make the right choices from pregnancy to playground through an activation entitled “Today’s Moms: The Joys and Challenges of Motherhood.”

This exciting event was a culmination of a week-long motherhood celebration in partnership with the Baby Company. Held at the SM Makati recently, it aims to equip moms with lifetime parenting tools and guidance with the use of healthy and innovative solutions from Philips AVENT.

Hosted by Marylaine Louise Viernes, the event educated guests on  various topics about effective motherhood while promoting the wellness of their young children.

Chef Dang Adrias, chef instructor at the Metropolitan Occupational Science and Technology Institute, shared healthy homemade baby food cooking tips using the Avent Combined Steamer and Blender. This Avent Combined Steamer and Blender will surely make preparing healthy food choices to young children easy and almost fuss-free.

Sharon Agoncillo, managing director at Baby Signs Philippines, interestingly talked about how parents can communicate with their babies – even before they can talk. Signing for babies who do not have hearing impairment helps not only in making them express what they feel, it also makes bonding between parents and child so much easier.

Frances Amper Sales, writer and digital influencer behind Topaz Horizon, gave out helpful notes on how to capably raise three little boys, while staying chic and positively beautiful. Mothers need not look haggard when taking care of their children and the household with the 10 simple tips on how to stay positively looking great without taking time away from the responsibilities.

The full-day, free admission event featured the Philips AVENT Studio – a showcase of Philips’ diverse range of healthy lifestyle technologies for moms and their infants or toddlers; an expression board where guests posted colorful sheets of paper as they share their fulfilling motherhood experiences; and a pit-stop where guests were able to avail of free hairstyling makeovers and healthy refreshments.

Training for Better Productivity and Profitability: StrengthsCoach.PH

Increasing employee turnover and decreasing productivity are just two challenges that companies face amidst the fast-paced and highly stressful workplace scenario. Companies expect looking to address these problems need not look far because StrengthsCoach.Ph, a team of Gallup Certified Coaches in the Philippines offers strength-based development program which has been proven to increase profitability by 22% and productivity by 21%.

Back in 2001, the original Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment in the book “Now, Discover Your Strengths” was introduced by Gallup. Selling nearly 2 million copies, the book became a New York Times bestseller. Its author and creator of the Clifton StrengthsFinder, former Gallup chairman Dr. Donald O. Clifton (1924-2003), was named the Father of Strengths-Based Psychology by the American Psychological Association.

Employees and executives of Facebook, Google, Standard Chartered Bank and Ritz-Carlton were among the 13 million people realized the benefit of leading with their strengths.

The conventional approach to training is to work on fixing weaknesses – to identify improvement areas and develop an improvement plan. While this prevents failure, we believe that strengths building leads to success,” explained StrengthsCoach.Ph Coach Alexander Wollboldt.

Focusing on maximizing strengths to drive employee engagement is what the training is all about.

A highly engaged workforce means the difference between a company that thrives and one that struggles. When employees are engaged, they are passionate, creative and entrepreneurial, and their enthusiasm fuels growth. These employees are emotionally connected to the mission and purpose of their work,” said StrengthsCoach.Ph Coach Alex Araneta.

To help companies develop a strength-based culture, StrengthsCoach.Ph offers a variety of programs:

  • High Performance Culture or HPC Program, a 4-6 month program targeted towards Executives, Management and Work Teams. This program focuses on building high engagement and performance through leadership coaching, team orientation and guidance and the engagement measurement survey to check on progress.
  • For executives, managers and employees with high potential, StrengthsCoach.Ph provides the Disciplines of High Performance Leaders (DHPL) program, a 4-6 month training which objective is to drive High Performance Leadership through workshops and one-on-one Leadership Coaching.
