Wooden Pecking Hens
HANDS is the theme for this week’s Photo Hunt and here I wrote here that we have a hand in educating our two younger children.
I thought about featuring this photo of my youngest daughter’s hand holding a wooden toy with five pecking hens which looks like a handmade toy.
I thought the concept of this toy is originally Philippine-related but when I Googled the term, I found out the toy is of Scandinavian origin!
Surprise, surprise!
Below is the toy in a close-up photo:
This toy not just shows how the hens eat but also teaches about gravity and speed ๐

Love the take on this week’s theme. Enjoy the summer heat.
I wished to have that toy when I was young.
Cute! I have seen it in Chile too! I guess that’s globalization…
nice take on the theme, happy weekend ๐
That toy is adorable! And it teaches hens about gravity and speed- amazing! ๐ heehee
My Photo Hunt is up! I hope you get a chance to visit me, too.
