Sliced Apples and Chocolate Milk Drink

For the third week of the What’s in your Lunchbox Meme entry over at the FilipinoMomBlog.com here is what Julian and Tania had for snacks yesterday:

Sliced apples and chocolate milk drink. I know these do not exactly “match” but they love both so that is what I give them.

The apples were washed using (I know this may sound weird) liquid dish washing soap to ensure that the skin is clean. The apple is then sliced thinly so that they can easily eat the pieces and not feel that have had too much of the fruit.

What was for lunch? Click here.

Hindi ba naiiwan yung lasa ng liquid dishwashing soap? I used to do this, pero kahit gaano ko pa i-rinse, parang may after-taste pa rin. I am also wary of the chemicals on apple skins, so I peel them para sure. Kaso lang, sayang yung fiber and nutrients.

I use a very small amount, diluted pa. I also do this with tomatoes 🙂 Todo-rinse na lang ako.

As of this posting, Andrea is having an apple sans the skin. I also peel them off.
