Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday, the first Saturday for 2009 is HOPE.
Martin Luther King, Jr.: If you lose hope, somehow you lose the vitality that keeps life moving, you lose that courage to be, that quality that helps you go on in spite of it all. And so today I still have a dream.
Let us all light up our hopes so we see our dreams in sight and work on these to come true.
Yes, hope should go hand in hand with prayers and hard work.
As the year 2008 draws to a close, we ask ourselves how we have been during this year.
Was I hopeful or lacking in hope?
Was I happy or not?
Did I make the right decisions or have I acted on impulse?
Did the goals I set for myself and my family come true or did I not take the risks involved?
Has my faith been tested? Did I believe enough?
We look back and we learn.
We hope, we pray for a year better than the years past. These do not only take time to be fulfilled, it needs acceptance of the challenges ahead and taking the risks with our dignity intact.
Are you ready for 2009?
I am.
