Tomica Nissan GT-R

One of the latest finds at the favorite toy store: Tomica Nissan GT-R.

The children know what car models to buy and they don’t settle for those outrageous designs that are not “real cars”. Most often, we give in to them and get these toys for them, not because these are not expensive, but because they know cars well.

Even if I’d rather they hurry up so the husband can look over wholesale shoes at a newly opened store that sell these things, I know it is a lost cause when we are in the section of toy stores with these little treasures.

How Do You Spell Daytona

Our son loves playing racing games and watching racing sports. Currently his favorite is the first season of the Bullrun Season 1 which he watches on DVD. He watched the whole season twice already 😉

So when we were having our Memory Drill games yesterday with two of my students, I was surprised he misspelled “Daytona” when he himself associated the word/place with “Nascar” (yes, where we see those Nascar jackets with a lot of colorful logos) when one of the boys he was having the drills with asked what Daytona is. (The word in the drill was Dayton, actually)

Frankly, I was disappointed when all of them misspelled Daytona since this is one of the racing games they can see in the arcades.

When I reminded them that they all said “Ay, tama!” (That’s right!) Yeah right 😀

BMW K1200R

Presenting the BMW K1200R:

This motorcycle can be seen in the movie Resident Evil 3.

Read the specifications here.

Watch a video here.

Of course, this bike is uber expensive, being half a million in Philippine peso, without the tax and other financial obligations that needs to be paid when this is purchased. Maybe the overall price would be like a million pesos, enough to buy n AUV or Asian Utility Vehicle that can sit up to 9 people.

But when one thinks about the raw power, money is not an issue. If there is money to burn than just the wheels, that is  🙂
