Morning Smog

One of the major causes of respiratory diseases or triggers of an allergy/asthma attack is air pollution. Ugh. It is a bad condition when one sees how much those who are affected suffer.

Smog is very apparent here in Mega Manila that every time we travel to work in the morning, the steel buildings in the business district where our workplace is located are not seen clearly until one is very near them.

I’m not kidding, see the photo below:

Never mind the traffic, now that is another sad story.

I know! On my commute naman from house to school, I see smog hovering all over the QC Memorial Circle. Every morning I point it out to my kids, and so our environmental discussions begin. Well, that’s the good thing that comes out of it. I hope to raise environment-loving kids.

That’s a major problem that takes time to solve. Manila is too congested that it’s difficult to pinpoint what to cut to clean the air.

I agree, and to think those who are supposed to do something positive even decide to cut old trees like what they did along Katipunan Ave and in Intramuros area.
