Chichi, our APBT

Every Saturday participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday is FURRY.

I am featuring our (almost new) dog, Chichi, an American Pit Bull Terrier who came to our home three months ago. He is our only APBT now because Sparky (who is probably in heaven) died last month.

She is not really furry compared to toy dogs and other herding dogs because she is a short-haired breed. We prefer to have this kind than the long-haired ones that need grooming (these can be expensive) and shed unwanted hairs that can cause asthma.

Contrary to what others believe, pit bulls are friendly (except when they are together with other dogs and/or smaller animals and other APBT) and very playful.

    Chichi is gorgeous! Our family are big lovers of pit bulls, or as we like to call them, Pet Bulls. 🙂 My brother currently has two and his first – the most wonderful dog in the world – passed about two years ago.
    I love to meet other people who respect and love this beautiful breed.
