I’ve recently signed up an account with another one of those groupons or online discount voucher sites.
*rolls eyes and shudders*
I chose to pay with over-the-counter method so that we don’t have to go online and pay with rfid credit cards. Plus hubby was the one paying because I am closely guarding my online spending for something big (read: tuition fee).
It was of extreme importance that I sign up with THIS one because they were offering a small gadget with another one thrown in the bundle. The price was irresistible and so the hubby agreed we’d get the deal because we were going to buy that certain gadget anyway.

Have you signed up for any of these online discount sites? I did with two or three though I haven’t got a major buy yet like some of my friends did.
I would love to but if I do, I’d probably end up broke. Good thing I can still manage to keep control since I use a debit card and not a credit card, I have to be practical and realistic about these things.
How does one weigh the options when buying discount vouchers?
- Buy what is needed. For example a buffet offering is nice if there is a birthday celebration within the months you can use the vouchers. If you are allowed to get as many as 5 vouchers, then go for it.
- An out of town hotel stay is great but make sure you get the plane tickets before the offer expire or else you wasted your money with it.
- Which one do you really need a spa appointment or acne scar treatments? If you can afford both, then go for it but if you can afford only one, then get the deal that you like better.
In the end, you get the best deals for the deals you really need and not because the deal was a good buy.
