Difficulty in Saying No

It is quite difficult to tell your friends that you are not prepared to listen to their sales pitch about the term life insurance quotes that they want you to know, the latest fashionable clothes nor the newest signature bags they have for sale.

There are those who end up buying whatever it is that the friend is selling, like shirts, bags and even gift certificates.

If  however you refused to purchase from them, as friends, they should be able to understand your position if ever the roles are reversed.

In a status update I wrote in a social networking site where I have an account, I said: “Please do not tag me with things that you are selling.”

There. I hope they won’t take offense with what I wrote.

Belt Tightening

The business sector is frightening. So many big companies are folding up and millions of people are affected. Why millions? Because one employer affected by his company folding up has most likely a family who he supports.

There are those who operate in the underground economy who are also affected. There are a lot of people who benefit from the underground economy, those who do buy and sell different products like food. And because their businesses are considered in the small-scale sector, they see no reason to have their businesses insured unlike big businesses who has to get business insurance.

People are not choosing their jobs anymore. Some women would go for man jobs if it means getting work and getting pay for it.

One thing for sure, now is the time to seriously practice tightening the belt in preparation for more punches and kicks. Or should I say, we should not stop tightening the belt as of now.
