Thank You
“Thank you”
Two small words that mean a big difference. In one of my other blog among others, I get a lot of inquiries. There are those who write “Thank you” “God bless you” whenever they end their queries, even if they are not sure that I will answer them.
Of course, I do answer, no matter how these inquiries were written.
Read on.
There are those who do not say these words and have the nerve to rush me into answering their inquiries, asking where they could enroll to study special education courses, where they could find work and what to do in between these. I can answer these kinds of queries, why not, according to the limited knowledge I have of schools I know.
But to demand an immediate answer without even saying “tnx” in advance, that is definitely two notches beyond bad manners.
No, I am not saying I have a holier than thou attitude, its just that when asking for favors, it would be nicer to ask with an advanced “thank you” so that the one to whom the request was given to would consider answering the inquiry. This is important to me since I do not even know them, they are seeking my advice and I am not asking for something in return.
As I have responded once to someone who was demanding than all the others combines,
“You know, a little respect goes a long way. Even my personal friends who comment in my posts and even ask for advice do not demand immediate response from me”.
I know, its a bit harsh, but I have to draw the line sometimes.
